Beim 8Y musst du zwingend die AGA upgraden wenn du Sound willst. Hab bei meinem 8Y die Stoll Sport AGA + HJS Downpipe (beides legal auch in Kombination) und damit hört er sich echt nice an. Aber kostet halt wieder....

Awesome video of a really exciting car! I have two points though: 1. That start-up bang reminds me of the facelift non-opf RS3 8V where it could be super annoying on warm startups because there was no way around it. Can you somehow control it on this car now? 2. Yes it is awesome that they managed to have it sound better in these difficult times BUT it kinda reminds me of the TT RS where the cars turned out to be too loud a few years down the road and there had to be an update to make it quieter. I hope they got it right this time!

The 8V had a lot of driving dynamics and drama . All due in part to the exhaust and drivetrain. The 8Y exhaust was muted and now with the 8Y.5 they’ve brought back the exhaust sound and the digital round gauges. I really miss my 8V, for those reasons. I may just have to buy the 8Y.5 with carbon buckets

As we drove the pre-Facelift with sports exhaust for two years I can tell you that this is a big difference. I would even go that far that it’s closer to the GRAIL exhaust we had than it is to the former RS sports exhaust🫢😁👊

Sound ist da gar nichts. In der Halle und im Tunnel, ja klar. Warum wohl?😉 Heckdiffusor ist für meinen Geschmack zu hoch gezogen. Aber da spart man wieder bissel mehr Lack. Plastik ist billiger. Die Audiringe … Was haben sie sich dabei gedacht? Das Lenkrad … sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Und wieso braucht man künstlichen Sound im Innenraum? Echt peinlich. Und wo ist bitteschön das RS3 Emblem im Frontgitter? Schämt sich Audi für den RS3 und man darf nicht mehr sehen, dass da ein RS 3 kommt? Ehrlich, bei mir kommt da kein must have-Gefühl auf. Aber das hatte ich schon beim VFL nicht. Den 8V finde ich persönlich stimmiger.

So, no difference in performance. Cheap plastics still in the cabin, glitches with drive modes still there, more plastics used externally, steering wheel from a Peugeot, stupid new badges and I can only imagine the fun cleaning those wheels. I'm not in any hurry to replace my RS3 8Y for the facelift. Also 10k more than I paid for mine in same spec.

Yeah, real exhaust tips are better looking. But they do this so that in the case of a small (and very common) rear end collision the exhaust isn't pushed forward and creates unneccessary damage on the underbody, exhaust System, engine etc.

It's a manufacturers decision if they want to go with real tips that usually look better or with fake tips that 1. don't generate as much damage in a collision and 2. don't have to be aligned during production, which can be quite a tedious process. I'm not an advocate for fake exhaust tips by the way, I sure like mine real. It's just the way things are done nowadays.

I think mostly sound is where this car shines. A45S is more racecar like with its character. My friend managed 3.56s with his A45S facelift (timed via onboard timing, not sure how that compares to the Racebox, but AMG Track Pace should be accurate).

the 0-100 kmh in the pre-facelift model was around 3.5s even a 3.4 sometimes. So I don't think it has become any faster.
