Awesome job Mathews. You all listened to the customers, grip and tuning.

I’ve been really trying to not upgrade my bow as often as I used to, because the upgrades for the money just weren’t justifiable. This model finally made enough improvements (and they worked the kinks out of phase 4 and Lift)to justify an upgrade from my V3X, which has been my favorite bow I’ve ever owned. Jee, thanks a lot Trail, have to break my piggy bank open now.

I'm in the same boat. Love my v3x 33 and this thing looks great. v3x would make a great backup bow...

Looks so good. I'm shooting the V3X. It's still a very competent bow but this would be an upgrade.

I was 1 of the lucky1s I guess I never had any limb issues fortunately! I’ve shot 1000s and no problems and I like the grip also but with that being said it had been 10 years since I bought a bow.

How much adjustment is in the new tuning system?
@trailkreitzer9163Ай бұрын
Hi there, the Limb Shift offers the same range of adjustment that the top hats offered. I don't know if that answers your question exactly, but it I can't see a case where someone could not get this bow to tune and you can now do it with micro adjustments. You're not limited to the sizes of top hats that were available. With older models I would get a paper tear really close with top hats and then need to micro tune the rest windage to really get a clean hole through paper. With Limb Shift you can set your rest at 13/16 or wherever you get the best clearance for your vanes and shooting form and then shift left or sight with the limb set screw and tune to center shot. It's a pretty slick system and you don't have to press and remove cams to replace top hats any longer.

@@trailkreitzer9163 Is the limb pocket the same as before or have they done something in there to work with the added pressures of moving the limb in and out. I haven't seen one in person of course but it doesn't sit well with me if the limb is just being jammed in or jammed out without a pivot point or even a locking pivot point within the limb pocket.... hope that makes sense? From an engineering point it seems there could be added stresses on the limb if you have it adjusted to be pushed as far away from the cam as possible.... unless the limb pocket allows for such stress to be mitigated with a pivot. It almost seems to me that it would be like jamming extra shims in between your cam on an older PSE, or say, using large top hats to jam the limbs apart... bows have always been pretty standard in the fact that the spacing between the limbs remain the same and the total spacing of shims or tophats must always equal an exact measurement, or else you begin putting stress and pressures on the limbs. Maybe I am overthinking it and hopefully mathews has done their due diligence on the system... it just doesn't sit well with me if it is indeed designed as I think it is.

Good stuff. What I’m wondering is, are the limb pockets the same between the Lift and Lift X? If you own a lift and the limbs fail I’m wondering if you be able to purchase the new limb configuration and cams to replace the damaged limbs?

What tape are you useing on that grip..??
@trailkreitzer9163Ай бұрын
Hi there, I've used a few different kinds of wrap or tape. This is just black athletic tape. I've also used Lizard Skin .5 baseball bat handle wrap and Wilson Tennis racket tape. I like the wrap to be a little thinner, but all of those have been good options. Hope that helps.

The uv sight looks great and really like the photochromatic cover on the fibers. For the price they should come with all 3 different pin cartridges, the 5 pin, 3 pin and 3 vertical. Mathews hit it out of the park with their limb shift technology that I'm sure they have been working on for years and trying to develop a system that doesn't infringe on any current patents. Should warranty lift limb issues moving forward be replaced with the arc7 limbs? I think so.
@trailkreitzer9163Ай бұрын
Hi there, we had Mark on the podcast yesterday from Mathews engineering dept and he informed us that warrantied Lift limbs from last years bow were replaced with the ARC7 limbs. It hasn't been widely talked about, but that is the case.

@steventurner83Ай бұрын
@@Lexidezi225 yea, it’s only available for Mathews as of now.
@Muskiehunter92Ай бұрын
@@steventurner83 You can do that with the landslyde as well. The scope mount has a quick disconnect and you can buy as many disconnect mounts as you want and pop on whatever scope you want in seconds. I have a 3 pin horizontal for hunting and a single pin target scope if I want as well. IMO Axcel runs the show on sights and they are the standard in which everything else is compared to. They have a new sight this year as well called the driver I believe... may be worth a look. I grabbed a used landslyde for 300 bucks and its been great. It will do 3d shoots with no issue and works fine for hunting with my 3 pin accustat on it. Their target sights are also incredible and I use them on my target specific bows.

It took until 2025 for them to put a decent string and cable on a new bow.You would think for $1400 it would come with the best strings money can buy. For 20 years they have had issues with serving separation.I've never understood that. You want bigger profit margins, take some of these millionaire influencers off of the payroll. Don't cheat the working man...Don't get me wrong, I love their bows but, that has always puzzled me....Just my 2 cents..
