We use Tha Lesson Book to house all of our spelling, narration, and dictation. The creator of it - Mom Delights has a lot of resources and insight into using the McGuffey readers and creating a Charlotte Mason’ish homeschool. The book marks look fantastic! A little hand holding tool for those of us who need it. 😅

My daughter is using the Level Two Lesson Book with the Second McGuffey Reader along with Explode the Code. I’ve paired that alongside TGATB LA level 3 and it works well! I feel like the McGuffey and the lesson books bring the “depth” needed, while TGATB LA brings the structure needed. Not too much at all! 😊

How do you plan out daily lesson work if you are doing more than one in the mcguffeys a week?

I just do the same thing/page we are ready for in the lesson book, just add a different story.

My preschooler is using it for letter recognition and is loving it!❤️
