That flats boat looks nice! But I’d love to compare fit & finish of the 35 to my Insetta 35. I’d also like to compare ride in a sea (any sea) and I’d love to compare fuel mileage. Not to prove anything, but to see what they can do. Let’s do a video together.

That would be an awesome side x side comparison! Throw in a Hammercat 35 and you’d have a perfect trifecta. Each catamaran has very unique design features in their hulls and manufacturing processes. It would be interesting to see the numbers for fuel mileage at comparable cruise speeds with identical power. All three have exceptional ride qualities and handle the chop extremely well. BTW, watched the video of your Insetta as featured on Center Consoles Only. Excellent job on the choices for your boat!

@@StanzFam ngl, the first time I laid eyes on a Freeman it was love at first sight. Then I actually saw a video of how they performed on the water and was forever hooked. Billy Freeman built the benchmark by which all other boats (catamarans and monohulls) are judged. He brought cats into the present and transcended expectations of what a fishing boat could do. The best part is it motivated others to also think outside the box and the age of innovation began with different types of cats being introduced. We as consumers are the winners as the choices are all excellent thus the only limits are personal preference and financial considerations. I’m anxious to see what the numbers will look like for the new Freeman 35 with twin Merc V10 400’s and the Yamaha 450’s or possibly the new 350’s. I’d prefer a twin set up for easier maintenance and lower costs vs the quad set up. We spent our vacation last March on Islamorada and will be returning next month. We make it a point to see the Stanz boats at Bud and Mary’s just for the drool factor. 😂 Really appreciate your videos and content. Keep up the great work!

Love the new 35 but that 28 looks like a big 28 vs the 264 Costa next to it. 21:16...another favorite brand of mine. I like the teak on the seats and the rear bench. The rear tubes look small in design and I feel could be done a lil nicer like the rest of the boat.
@StanzFam9 ай бұрын
Definitely a big 28. The teak seats did make it stand out for sure. Noted on the back rest, with it being designed for easy removal and the pipes going into rod holders I’m not sure what other options you’d have.
@Jassman35369 ай бұрын
I looked at it again and your right not much you can do if going into a rod holder. Possibly if they make the tubing thicker across the backing and vertical section and then taper right into the rod holder would make it look beefier. I love the boat just need to check it out. I had a 263 Calcutta and then was going to get a 264 which is a fast and well-made hybrid..but wanted something larger. Looking at the 28 freeman and 30 Blue Cat which is on another size level. love your channel keep it up@@StanzFam

What is your thoughts on lithium for cranking batteries?
@StanzFam9 ай бұрын
I always heard mixed reviews and was hesitant at first but after I researched lithium batteries and talked to a couple people I realized they came a long way over the years. The benefits seemed to be well worth it, we’ll find out since this is our first boat with all lithium batteries. We have a single 36 volt on our 28 Freeman for the trolling motor and already considering swapping out the house and cranking batteries to Dakota lithium’s

Quad mercs look way better than those Yamadogs! support American made, Nic! No comment on the mercs and praise the Japan made, so sad to see.....
@StanzFam8 ай бұрын
I’m not in it for looks, I want reliability and the best engines out there. As much as I would love to support all American made products/brands it would be foolish to say that as you type on your phone or computer. We should all be realists and accept the fact that so much stuff we use in our every day life is made elsewhere. Whether it’s your phone, computer, tv, appliances, clothing, etc. I just want the engine that runs the best with the least amount of headaches and troubles
@alwprecisionshooters47574 ай бұрын
Hey A-far less than perfect, I think you need to get your facts straight…Mercury isn’t all made in the USA. Mercury and Tohatsu of Japan are partners. They are partners in the production of 25hp to 140hp engines and a lot of their manufactured parts. They are built in USA, and also Mexico, Japan, Belgium, and China…yes, China. Only about 30% of Mercury outboards are actually made in the US, so the other 70% are made in other countries. Mercury 90 hp motors are made in Suzhou, China. How does that feel that you are supporting Mercury MADE IN THE USA? The moral of the story is there are tons of imported products, and us in America, have the freedom to buy what we want, it’s our choice. By what you want with your money and everyone else do the same. Just don’t judge others for buying what they want. If you want to support a company that claims to be made in the USA and they quietly build in 4 other countries, including China, feel free. China has a reputation for less than top quality, and I for one, would not buy a Chinese outboard motor. You can if you choose but don’t look down on someone else for their choices. By the way, where does your extensive professional outboard experience come from? Surely it doesn’t come from your 10 subscribers and 11 top notch videos of lame coverage of 10 year old used engines does it? StanZ has how many subscribers and videos and thousands of real time hours using boats in open water? You have experience with a motor hooked up to a hose in your driveway and you are bashing him? You’re an idiot.
