Nick tell Sara to not let the cord wrap around the head/ shaft of the trolling motor. Essentially think of it as operating it 180 degrees either direction from 0.

When you learn how to fully utilize the trolling motor you will realize how great it is. definitely the best investment I ever made for my boat was a good trolling motor. That spot lock is a game changer. I rarely use my anchor anymore, and the spot lock really helps you dial in a spot.

Well now, that's about as slick a "do it all" boat as I think I've seen!! We run a Minn Kota with spot lock on our fresh water fishing boat and it really does work well, so with some practice and luck I'm sure yours will faithfully hold you in place too!! Congratulations on a great looking and running boat guys!!!
