I've had my stand up freezer in my basement for over 15 years. I'd never buy a chest one. (did have one years ago that came with a home I bought) I was grateful for it, but stuff gets buried!! And my stand up freezes meat solid & so easy to organize as opposed to chest style!

I love how healthy you feed your kids! Great habits to instill. Just a hit for pepper storage. If you wrap each pepper in a piece of plastic wrap the peppers last 3-4 weeks on perfect condition! I watched Frum it up, how to store veggies and fruit and it keeps the produce fresh for weeks!

I learned recently why captains don't like bananas on boats, it isn't superstition - it is because they make all the other produce ripen much quicker. Maybe they can help your avocados ripen, and maybe move away from your plums, to keep those fresh!

I’m not a big Brussel sprout fan but it’s really good baked with baby potatoes, carrots and sausage to make an easy one sheet pan meal!

Grass fed and finished is better for you in the ground beef. If it doesn’t say grass finished, the animal has been finished with grain. Difference is in the omega ratios. We all do the best we can weighing price and availability. Yes, like you mentioned, all about balance! Glad you mentioned that. We raise our own beef and pork, but not chickens.
