Are you worried about lateral wind load since there's no shear wall on the garage door side?

Not terribly. The framing support on this door is pretty robust. I'll have to do another video so everyone can see what that looks like.

I'd expect to pay north of $15K if you were going to install one today. Maybe even $20k with how materials and fuel continue to rise.
