New 4K and Blu-rays from Arrow, Terror Vision, Plus Jaws Sequels in 4K and Trick Or Treat 4K Update

A lot to cover today with the new Arrow announcements of their August titles. Terror Vision has several new Blu-rays coming with bundle options. The Jaws sequels are coming to 4K(!). I was literally shocked when I saw Jaws 3 and 4 coming in 4K. Happy shocked though but still shocked. lol I was not expecting them at all. The past year has been really interesting with Arrow. I do like that they are putting out some different movies but luckily not moving away from the releases that made them.

I have some mad love for Jaws 3 as well. I watched it a ton as a kid so it'll always be special to me. I love that we finally got an actual 3D release with the Blu-ray and it sucks that 4K doesn't do 3D but I am still happy to get the film in 4K anyway. Can't wait for it to come in!

Same here. When I first saw the cover there was a moment where I thought it was the original. Which is possible since Arrow is putting out MGM titles but no luck.

Hi Richard, thanks for the updates today! I'm excited for the Jaws 4ks as well. I just go for the standard slipcover editions over the steels. I also keep Cruel Jaws on the shelf with them as a bit of a gag :) Will probably be getting the Mexican Trilogy and definitely a copy of Trick or Treat. I think I'll go with cover "A" for that one.

Just as I was uploading the video I finally saw the standard 4K versions of Jaws 3 and 4. Haha I figured there would be which is why I was surprised I didn't see anything about them earlier. I ordered the steelbooks but I might cancel and just order the standard since it'll match my Jaws 2. And I love that you put Cruel Jaws next to them! lol

Same here! I have the German Blu-ray which isn't great. They only had a print to work with but it held me over until this release comes out. SO can't wait! And happy it is coming with the soundtrack as well. Now we just need to wait patiently for the final details and release date. Patiently. Patiently ... damn, I want it now. lol

Richard, thanks for the Trick or Treat update. I have been wanting this on 4K for a long time. Hopefully they can keep the Ozzy and Gene Simmons scenes in it. Also I like the fact they will be releasing the soundtrack to this. I'm at work right now but I'm pretty sure I still have the soundtrack on CD already.

Happy to give the update! Hopefully we can get the full details and release date fairly soon but it could still be a few months away if they are still trying for October. I love that it will include the soundtrack as well. They are really going all out with this release. Can't wait for it!

I've bought a few things from Terror Vision recently and their releases are really nice. Especially for the stuff that they release. Can't recommend them enough if you love "garbage" films.🎃

I still need to order the Terror Vision release of Nail Gun Massacre. For some reason I thought I did but I haven't yet. Need to get my order in. I'm spacing lately. lol I ended up ordering the Arrow release of Silence Of The Lambs because I'm guessing like with Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (78) they fixed the minor color timing issue. Funny how both films seem to have it in the first reel.

Alot! Thanks! Terror vision titles Psycho Sisters and Video Violence 1 & 2 where available at Vinegar Syndrome as partner label titles not too long ago. I have Psycho Sisters. Wonder if there is anything new added… I am a huge fan of Linnea Quigley and will try to get that bundle! Aatleast getting that movie. Arrow have some fun stuff coming. The Mexican Trilogy is fantastic! El Mariachi is so much fun! That box with the jaws sequels is vrry nice. Love the cover. Its sp evil looking. Lol Take care! Cheers!

Our Psycho Sisters is the 1998 remake that was shot on film. However, the Blu-ray includes everything on the Saturns Core release with even more additional extras.

Good haircut, Richard. I thought Drive was okay. Albert Brooks was surprisingly frightening in that movie. I saw these are already pre selling on Amazon. I recently re watched Jaws 1-3. I couldn't watch Jaws 4. The third could have been better. Deep Blue Sea borrowed a lot of ideas from it. I've never seen Family Dinner. Never seen In the Woods, or Psycho Sisters at all. Nor Video Violence. I've not heard of Dawning. The two Titan films are okay. Sam Worthington was totally a jerk during filming. He didn't want the mechanical owl to be in the film and tried to destroy the prop several times during the shoot. The director decided not to risk it and cut the owl from most of the film. Worthington is kind of bland in both films. Mads Mickelson is in Clash and does a good job even though it's kind of a cameo. Also the very lovely Alexa Davalos has a role that is pretty much a cameo. It's a shame it's not a bigger part. There's a CG fight with Medusa in the second film that's pretty good. That was a lot of stuff to cover! Many thanks Richard. We got light rain so that was good. That really sucks about Sam Worthington. I wonder if that is also why his career didn't quite take off like it seemed like it might if he was hard to work with. I might give those films a watch some day but only if I can find them streaming or something. I won't blind buy them. Happy you didn't get the heavy rain! I got hit a bit hard with the storms but luckily not as bad as others. No tornadoes but some very heavy rain and winds. Plus the power went out a few times. Hopefully some more calmer weather for a bit. lol

@@RichardDiaz Try Tubi. Agreed. I'm not sure what he was thinking and why would he try to take it out on the prop. They aren't bad but nowhere near as fun as the original. We're still in a lengthy drought. Glad you didn't get any damage from the storms. There was some damage from hail to the west of here. It never made it into the city. We got windy and thankfully no power outages :) Totally agree. I've done a few recent blind buys that I haven't gotten around to watching. It's a bad habit. lol

Man, I am so stoked trick-or-treat is finally coming out. I know I reached out to them probably in September of last year to see if it would make it in time for Halloween and they said I’d have to contact red show because they really didn’t know yet. Great T-shirt Trick or Treat are one of the few I have more than half a dozen T-shirts for haha even picked up that awesome Gutter Garbs hoodie of the one sheet recreation I love that one! Never mind the Fright Rags guitar pics and the patches and all that cool stuff that’s come out in the last few years lol I’m stoked! Yeah, I’m one of those weird guys when it comes to jaws the revenge lol it’s honestly a guilty pleasure for me. I know it’s total cheese but as a kid I loved watching it over and over on the movie channel lol must’ve seen it 50 times. Desperado that’s definitely worth a grab, I might have to pick that up. I’m pre-ordering the Beetlejuice Steelbook that was just released as well. As for trick-or-treat again, couldn’t be more excited that’s so awesome. By the way, just a note on those three Trick or Treat slipcovers. So the artist on the top left is Justin Osbourn one of my favourites brilliant artist does amazing work and a lot of great designs for fright rags as well. The design on the right is by the ever impressive master Devon Whitehead. Devon’s done all sorts of unreal art and often does a lot of T-shirt art for Cavity Colors. Those two guys are awesome and I highly recommend getting one of those two slipcovers. The artist on the bottom I am told from a very reliable source has stolen artwork from Devon in the past. I was also told that Devon would not have included his art for this project had he known this other artist would be involved. Just putting it out there i’ve never seen any of the other persons art personally. I certainly hope I don’t miss your video when you let us know the presale date man lol Cheers Richard, hope all is well.

Specifically the one that is not so honorable. Needless to say I won't be ordering that one. And yes for Jaws The Revenge! It has been a long time since I saw the other two Jorg films but one of them was good and I think the other one I felt was just ok but I need to check which one was which because I can't remember from the titles. lol I am the same way with the Grindhouse 4K releases. I wish those were already announced. I know they are a small company but I am really looking forward to those. I do know that they licensed Pieces out to Severin for a 4K release. I'll cover that when we have more info and/or an announcement. Hopefully soon for all of them!

Video Violence 1 and 2 was actually put out by Terror Vision on bluray previously. I think it has been out of print for awhile. I am super excited for Heathers. I have the region b bluray but having a nice 4k region free will be amazing. It's one of my 3 favorite movies of all time. Very excited for the Trick or Treat release. I think I'm gonna pick slipcase c but not sure yet

It will be. The only thing I don't know yet is if the variant covers will be an exclusive or not. I'll definitely do a video on it when they release all of the details and order dates. I really hope it does come out in October.

I am surprised on no 4K for those. I know that El Mariachi can only look so good since I believe the original 16mm negative was damaged so mainly all that exists is the 35mm blow-up but I'll take that. Once Upon A Time In Mexico was shot in HD so it would be just an upscale but a proper upscale (even if it's only SDR and not HDR) I would still like. I get why they aren't 4K and only Blu-ray but I agree, I wish they were all 4K.

I went in thinking they were going to be really, really awful. Because of that, I was pleasantly surprised. They aren't great, but way better than I expected. Just some silly fun popcorn movies.
