New ADV 160: Difference between ABS and CBS

Seems like in Malaysia we only have the ABS model and not the CBS model. But in term of cosmetic, we used the CBS model but with ABS model system.

Great vid - I would love to personally test to really experience firsthand the braking system which to me is very important. Have you been able to do? Should look at doing a vid demonstrating this - I'm looking to buy one as soon as they come out.

@@kolbanogems3101 I'm familiar with ABS but have no firsthand experience on this actual bike. Have you ridden the 2024 model? If so how is the ABS in Rainy or just in a bad SLIPPERY situationS or emergency needing to stop? Is it a controllable type, - smooth and balanced or is it a wholly crap what's it doing type of feeling? Have you ridden this 2024 CBS version? Interesting 3 brake discs - one in the middle applies when back braking.

@@CanadaPhilippinesAdventures I drive a 2023 model. The 2023 and 2024 models are actually exactly the same. The difference between the 2023 and 2024 models is that the 2024 model has the addition of new colors, that's all! For ADV ABS, I have tested it in rain and sandy soil. When the ABS is working, the screen will display a flashing traction sign, and the motorbike remains under control, great! Indeed, ABS is very helpful when road conditions are not friendly. I haven't had the opportunity to ride the ADV CBS directly, but I have ridden the Yamaha Nmax ABS. Compared to the ABS on the Nmax motorbike, the brakes on the ADV 160 are smoother and more grippy.
