I wondered the same, until the first of the fast corners. The spoiler produces up to 500 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. Around turn 5, which you approach at about 160 km/h and through the series of right-handers after the first hairpin you could feel the car hunching down and the grip was fantastic, same on the last turn. I'm guessing I'm carrying at least 10 km/h more speed there.
