Oh snap it's another ‪@Hoplopfheil‬ and Crazy Kirk crossover episode! New for 2024, Aero Precision is expanding their PRO Series to include a fully ambidextrous lower receiver, and a redesigned handguard. The new M4E1 PRO lower is a further enhancement to the already enhanced M4E1 with mirrored magazine release and bolt release controls. The MOD4 handguard is a bit heavier and a bit stiffer than Aero's own Atlas, and is designed to reduce flex for use with laser aiming modules.

The best part is they removed the stupid giant A on the Magwell. Aero precision really listens to user feedback, and they are a pro 2a company (which is rare these days cough, Springfield, cough, Daniel Defense). I would put a BCM upper over that pro lower, but if they offer a cold hammer forged complete upper, maybe I'll get the aero upper.

From someone elses video that I saw, the new pro series uppers have CHF barrels. As a southpaw, I'm genuinely considering selling my BCM Mk 2 for one of these, or at the very least buying the m4e1 lower to replace my current one.

Very COOL! I cannot wait to get a builder kit with one of new Pro Lower but I am not sure about the handguard I am still a BIG FAN of the Enhanced Upper with Handguard that connects to the Upper via the 8 screws and is MUCH STRONGER Setup in my Opinion and has not let me down in almost 10 years of HARD USE since my first build and now have 5 rifles in 3 different calibers including 308win, 300BO and 556.

I was so pumped when I saw this for the first time the other day. I usually like higher end rifles, but I still love my Aero stuff. I definitely want to grab a set of these receivers and a hand guard when they're available.

My Aero Precision upper/lower exceeds the build quality of Wilson Combat lower and Daniel Defense stripped Upper. All are nice, but the Aero product better finish, fit, and weight is similar. I’ll give weight points to the latter two. Plus those two are overly tight. All run great though. Trybe is another to look at, good luck with their parts.

@@1014p I built all of my rifles (except my LWRC) so none of them were made by a single manufacturer. But I did buy my M4E1 as a complete upper and complete lower, so maybe that one counts too. But the only parts that came with it that matter are the trigger and the barrel. The BA barrel isn’t bad but the trigger was probably the worst trigger I’ve ever felt so I swapped that out immediately (along with the safety). I guess I mainly like Aero for their receivers and handguards. I’d never use their BCG or any other internal parts. And I don’t think I’d go as far as saying my M4E1 is higher quality than any of my other rifles (two ADMs, an LWRC, a Radian Mod 1, a clone correct URGI, clone correct block II, grffin Mk2 with VLTOR MUR upper)

i emailed aero years ago about how to the PDQ lever would install in the M4E1, and they were great in giving photos. now, i am so glad i dont have to modify the lower at all

Good on the ambidextrous lower. I milled out a couple M4E1’s about three years ago, installed PDQ’s and Troy ambidextrous magazine releases for instant full-ambi AR’s for about $150.00 in parts and labor. Best deal to be had. That said LWRCi got it right with the M6IC lower that it it is the most copied ambi lower ever.

And I know this is anecdotal, but I've never had issues with PSA or Anderson, and better customer service (had some shipping issues, carriers fault). I'm on 3 weeks, 3 emails with no reply. Front takedown retention spring hole wasn't drilled completely.

Interested to see how much those stripped lowers cost. I oaid about 250 for my PWS anbi lower, and it's basically the exact same other than having an LMT MARS style pivoting ambi mag release. The mag release in this looks a little thin, I'd like to see one with a larger pad like LWRC uses in their guns.

So, this is the 3rd fully ambi AR-15 lower (5th, if you include the Radian ADAC and the LWRCi ambi lower I can’t remember the designation for) alongside the LMT MARS and the Knight’s Armament KS series lower? I will give this one bonus points if it can mount the BCM Mk 2 Upper.

This is the best lower receiver on the market. Better than Radian or any other billet ambi lower because it is forged. Forged lowers are always gonna be stronger and lighter than billet.

I'll argue that the LWRC IC6 complete lower (which I run on a Criterion Core 13.9" barreled upper) is the current standard for forged ambi lowers. But it's also a shade under $500, so if Aero can bring it to market at $350-ish, it could supplant the IC6

I'm glad the integrated trigger guard does not have the lightening slots milled in this version. It is such an extremely small amount of weight savings vs. the strength lost at a thin section of material. Plus, the machine time milling it can't be worth it.
