Thanks for being so honest and real. Life isn’t a highlight, there’s closets that doors are closed on (I have a few on my list!!), there’s unfinished organization/rooms, and real life human interactions. We all have highs & lows, I appreciate you sharing yours and your journey in a new home. We have been in our “new” home for 3 years and there are still projects I haven’t got to, you make me remember it’s not a race it’s a process and life happens. I have 3 kids, too, I don’t have all the time in the world to focus on making every system in our home perfect, but little by little it is coming together. Appreciate you! I like the frames!! I LOVE your idea with the frames and photos!!!!! The wood color matches the floor plus the other wooden accents! And the idea for the photo of the children is great! I love it!!!

Personally, I would add some pops of red (the OS colors) into your basement space either through paint, an OS wall decal or mascot decal, sports jerseys, throw blankets, etc. I would also consider adding in a popcorn machine, boxes of candy, a basket with some single serving bags of chips or a variety of different snacks for when you are sitting down there watching a game or a movie. Give it a total sports bar | movie theater vibe. Over in the bar area you could do some type of neon sign to add to the overall aesthetic. The way that it is currently is just very subtle and I think there are so many more elements that could be brought in and added to elevate the space and really give it the sports themed vibe that you are truly wanting.

I think it would really bring out the wood tones in the room. You did an amazing job decorating! Just a suggestion but I would add a clock somewhere in the basement.
