I always use maple. Best wood in my opinion. It will hold every screw and it’s super smooth.

You can always rent a stearing column pull tool from any auto parts store, but I like the hack with using nuts/bolts and hammer for prying. I go to O'Reilly Auto Parts and think it was like $15 last time I rented to pull a starter clutch on an old yamaha raptor 4wheeler... Yes you need a stearing column tool to pull a starter clutch on those things, and its a common problem with starters on those older quads.

Hey Jerry one day can you make a video on how to wire up dual alternators do you wire them together or do you wire them separately and go into the battery that's a video I never seen anyone do do they have to be the same voltage or no I think that would be an outstanding video thanks so much man I appreciate you

I have a1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, I ordered 2x skar zvx12 v2 subs with 2x 2 0hm voice coils. I need to build a box for the trunk. I was wondering if I should fire the subs up or back and same with the ports? I was leaning towards firing them back with a big port on the back like a traditional box. I just want something that slams good any help would be appreciated. I have a harmony audio 1500.1 amp, was going to wire to 2 0hms and possibly pick up another identical amp and run each sub at 1ohm.

As a trunk person myself I would say subs facing cabin and port on driver corner

not sure if I can face them that way, I have a deep well in the middle of the trunk and a shelf at the front of the trunk. The shelf is about 12 inches to the rear deck, under the shelf is my fuel tank. I have to fire them up or back unless I do a bandpass box. The other concern is I have 6x9's in the rear deck. I am worried about blowing them out from the pressure. I was thinking might make some plywood boxes to protect them from the bottom.

@@aidentrocano9395 what did you do? my goal is 144db. I can get 1500 watts out of this amp at 2 ohms. I could wire it at .5 ohms but not sure if this amp would survive. it did 4300 watts on the dyno at .67 ohms dynamic with a 40hz test tone. I may try it and see if it goes into protect after I get a bigger alternator. I just made up 2 runs of 2/0 was going to use the seatbelt bolts for grounds and do big 3. I bought a small rockford amp for the mids.

Had my 280 amp g2 power alternator for a year and just now needing to install it. Never did an aftermarket alternator before so the new regulator and pigtail is throwing me off. Stay in Lexington sc and everyone wants to charge me arm and leg to install it.

I know you've talked about it in a couple of videos but was curious if you ever figured out how to get your wife's blazer to play lower with both windows down. I have a Explorer with 8 DC Lvl 5 12's(you may know the truck) and I suffer from the same issue which I know is pretty common with 6th orders. I can play both windows down til 24hz, 23 and down I have to roll 1 window up and beat the ever living shit out of my door when I demo.
@JerryAintloud2 жыл бұрын
A round over in the blazer fixed that issue
