⁠@@CarsWithKeavI end up buying the black version of the white one in your video. The foam it produces is no where thick as your video shows but it is acceptable. The biggest issue is that it does not have enough capacity to hold liquid to do the entire mid size car. So I have to refill it with water and shampoo couple of times to completely cover the car with foam. And since I don’t have the driveway to do it at home, I have to go to the self car washes where they don’t have a way to refill this with water , so I have to carry enough water with me so I can refill it. They do have the pressure spray hose but that is meant to refill this with water. I am now thinking it might be better to buy the bigger IK one for my use case so I can fill it with enough water at home to do the entire car.

@@sfomann What soap are you using? I know some will need a higher dilution as some just don’t foam good. Since it a bit different maybe they sacrificed something for better durability or changed the filter type. For doing a whole car I would for sure suggest the IK Foam Pro 12. I can usually foam a car 3 times with one do those and you don’t have to feel like you have to go light on the foam. It also foams way better and more evenly.

I’ve been using the $35 one (actually got it cheaper at the time) for the last few months and it has been working flawlessly. Use it with brakebuster 5:1 and flush it out with water each time. The battery time is very impressive as I’ve only charged it once so far. These products can be hit or miss, especially after my experience with the SPTA leaking air over time, but I’ve been happy with your previous recommendation so far!

I'll definitely check out one of these. I bought an IK pump foamer and I'm not happy with it. It leaked foam out of every seal the first time I used it. I saw online that people recommend lubricating the seals, or even suggest that they're defective when that happens. it shouldn't happen during the first use.

I have heard a few have issue with IK foamers they seem hit or miss at times. Even Rad Garage told me he had issues with several of them when we collated at DIY Detail film studio. I myself have not had issues with the 3 I have bought.

Bought the comparison model you demonstrate in this video and in previous ones... Have to say, "I agree"...the newer one you're demonstrating does produce a slightly better foam, but the difference in 'noise' between the two... Holy cow it's 'night 'n' day, and that run-time doesn't compare to the other model... Think I'll stick to the quiet one with better run-time... Awesome, videos... Keep up the great work!!! 🙂

@@crookassassin The one this video is for the gray bottle cracks. The white bottle one that I used for the comparison seems to have some issues with charging and not turning on. I did list a newer version that is black that seems to have better reviews.

I've been using the old Amazon foam sprayer mainly as a sprayer. It's been working really good for me and I love how quiet it is. One tip for any sprayer is to wet the seal before tightening the top which lubricates it for a better seal. I learned this from using a NutriBullet smoothie maker. Any chance you will do a review of the new Chemical Guys TORQ Foam Blaster Pro 6 wash gun for a garden hose? It looks like it might perform better than what's been on the market up until now.

The vapor is condensing moisture from the pressure in the foamer. Put your fist over your lips, blow really hard with your mouth closed, then gently puff out a cloud of vapor you just created in your mouth. There could/should be vapor in the the other foamers as well...maybe the opaque plastic hides the vapor in the others?

No vapor in the other foamer I showed in the video which is why it confused me. I tried and never could get it to vapor. Maybe the pressure level is different?

@@CarsWithKeav Just rewatched the video, both heads do it in that bottle but not the opaque bottle? does it vapor outside the bottle? is it mechanical "break in" lubricant or something? does it "smell" like anything? Hope its not a lithium off gassing, ever see one of those go off? the shape of the bottle matter? Wish I was more clever to figure that out!

Can you give us the links to the Everest Eley set up you use? And, is the spray pattern strong enough to forgo an electric pressure washer that puts out 2.0 GPM?

If you are using a 2gpm pressure washer you wouldn’t want to replace it with the Eley. The Eley is just a nice to have I use for a few things. Never replaces my pressure washer though. How well it works depends on your house pressure and mine it pretty high, but it will get the best performance out of whatever pressure you have from a garden hose. The pressure washer is the great equalizer when it comes to house water line pressure. My affiliate link with them just takes you to the main page, but I bought the sprayer kit that has everything and two of the quick connect kits.

i bought 4 different 2 gal bug/weed killer pump sprayers for 40 dollars. Some guy was selling them. they leaked and were older. I cleaned them all out really good and carefully. Tore them completely down and replaced all the seals and sprayer tube and spray tip for 25 dollars maybe. I have one setup for iron remover, one for wheel and tire, one for bug/tar removal. I have the last one setup for pre soak the car. It makes things so much easier.

Compressed air contains water vapor. If you have a wash keg, fill it with air, then let the pressure out and open it up immediately. Looks like dense fog inside.

That vapor is probably just from the pressure in the bottle. Just like if you drink a bottle of water, then then twist it make pressure in it. Then you twist off the top to launch it in the air, there will be some vapor in there.

By any chance did you shake them or anything like that. Several haave mentioned there really is no seal at the bottom of the cap and if you get any liquid up there by overfilling, shaking or even knocking the bottle over it will get in the cap and cause damage. This could possibly be the reason behind so many issues of course no excuse for that. I'm going to look at mine and see if I can seal it.

I would be careful with carbon ceramics they like to absorb the chemicals which can cause issues. Usually a neutral type soap is best for them. I don’t see anything in their site saying it’s safe, but also not saying it’s unsafe. With rotors like that I would stick with anything saying it’s safe for them. Plus they don’t give off much brake dust to need the extra cleaning power.

IK’s if they have the right consistent pressure spray better than anything to me, but to do that costs way too much money to ad an inflator to an IK Foam Pro 2+. These do really well though.

Much thicker spray with les pulsing. The Black and Yellow one works well just $80 is such a hit on the wallet when it’s close to the cost of an IK and inflator combo. I have not use much since I keep using the new ones.

Seems to be working just fine at least the clear one does no issues so far. I use it here and there to distribute APC as it looks like the vapor is just created from the pressure inside the bottle.

Possible, but I think it’s more of a reaction to compressed air and liquid. Many responded stating it’s just vapor caused by the compressed air. Read a lot about it and seems like that’s what it could be.

Outside of the IK E Foam Pro 12 not really and that one is $250 and holds 2 gallons. IK is coming out with a battery sprayer in a few months and I personally think that will set the standards Griots tried and theirs is horrible in my opinion. Only thing right now is to modify a Marolex foam sprayer with a valve and attach a small inflator to it.

This is one of those categories where that does not really exist yet except for the IK E Foam Pro 12. IK is coming out in a few months with their version of a battery foamer so that could be the next best thing.

@@CarsWithKeav interesting thanks for your reply. I'm currently using the foamer from your last Amazon foamer video that you brought up again here with the blue tip. I use it to foam down my car as a pre-soak as I live in an apartment and have to go to a coin-op car wash. Just about to get full coverage of my Honda Civic coupe with a full tank. Only weird thing it does is it stopped turning off automatically and now it just pumps air continuously until I physically turn it off. Still a great option tho for apartment dwellers like myself. Please keep us updated on what you find going forward!

@@christopherpape4823 Has to be some kind of switch with a sensor. That sensor may have gunked up or failed. I’ll keep an eye on mine if it starts to fail or not. Another think I noticed after watching is that it’s very quiet compared to the new ones.
