Thank you for explaining this so clearly. I’ve been searching for 2 weeks for an ACTUAL comparison of these 2 devices that didn’t focus on “cute colors” etc. As a YT gamer I am constantly on one of my 2 iPads or on my MacBook playing and editing and my eyes are burning after a few hours. I haven’t had a Kindle in 12 yrs and I couldn’t understand why I would “want front lighting” and now I know. Great video…earned a new sub here

Hii, I would appreciate your thoughts on the kids edition 2022? 11 generarion is not available so I am in between the new one or the kids 2022 that comes with a case and is a better deal...

as someone that does not have a lot of money but also wants to go for the paperwhite because of the warmth setting and waterproofness I dont feel like the difference between the devices is worth the price differnce. I can get a paperwhite 2021 for 95€ used but in top conditions but the 2024 kindle only for 169€

Hi! I agree! In my opinion, the Kindle Paperwhite 2021 is better than the 2024 Kindle.

Some protective cases may solve the problem with accidental pressing this button. Mine do solve it having a little bumper behind, so fingers lay on this bumper instead of the button

No I doubt it 😂but reading in the bath does happen. How do I know this ??? You may ask. I work in a library and you would be surprised how many books come back water damaged. You haven't even used it. Why even buy the Kindle Paper White if you don't like the Warm light feature. The best thing about the Paper White is the warm light feature. Without the Warm light feature the Screen tint is Blue. You should Save Yourself money and stick with the Kindle Basic.
@jdmmi2 ай бұрын
@@JesusSavesSinners no. I have a very old kindle paperwhite from 2017 with no warm light and there is no blue tint. it's pure paperlike. i also have the 11th gen and the screen is a mess. always an led afterglow no matter what setting you use, i hate it.
@JesusSavesSinners2 ай бұрын
@@jdmmi I have one of those too. So like I said You do not like the Warm light feature. You don't have a Kindle with a Warm light so you don't know the difference between the Kindle's with the warm light feature and without it. There is a Blue light tinge with All the Kindles that don't have the Warm light feature. Like he said in this Video you can only tell when you compare them side by side. My Recommendation is still the same. If you want a New Kindle you should buy the New Model of the Kindle Basic it is Better than the Kindle Paper White you have right Now. I Love the Warm light Feature it gets rid of the Blue light and adds a lot of contrast to the text and Graphics.
@jdmmi2 ай бұрын
@@JesusSavesSinners I think you missed the bit where I said I also have the 11th gen paper white! Which is the model before this new one. It has a warm light so I know perfectly well what I'm talking about
@JesusSavesSinners2 ай бұрын
@@jdmmi Buy whatever you want to. THE ONLY REASON THAT AMAZON STARTED TO MAKE KINDLES WITH A WARM LIGHT IS BECAUSE OF THE BLUE LIGHT THAT ALL OF THEIR BACK LIT KINDLES HAVE. THE WARM LIGHT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THE BLUE LIGHT. You don't even know the Basic Truth on why the Warm light Technology was Developed. The Warm Light is a Serious game changer for E-Readers. There is a Whole Manufacturing Industry that has Developed Solutions to the Blue light that All Phones, Tablets, Computer Monitors, E-Readers have. Blue light glasses were developed to Filter out the Blue light that comes Off of All handheld Devices. You don't know what you are saying.

I ordered a kindle signature 11th edition on prime day, got delivery, then Amazon announced the 12th edition for about $50 more. There is a significant difference, primarily in speed - I can speed through my dozens of collections that was sluggish on the 11th edition. The battery is better, interesting, it will not charge up to 100%, but stops at around 96%. The screen is a tad creamier, and I like that a lot, easier on the eyes - non blue. The big problem is finding a cover that is reasonable in price, the Amazon covers have doubled in price. The other is finding a cover that accepts wireless charging.
@emtibAlucard2 ай бұрын
I think you can adjust that creamy paper colour in the settings of the latest 2024 12th gen 7" paperwhite. I have not bought a case because it just adds to the weight and being 7 inches there does not seem to be any cases on the online market that will definitely fit. I have bought a clip on 'corner to corner' elasticated back strap that I can use to hold it easily when reading and so a case for me would only be to protect it while travelling with it. Mine does charge upto 100%. I have found that when purchasing a book via kindle store it does seem to get stuck on the download screen i.e. it does not close that screen automatically or tell you that the download has finished. You just need to close the screen manually and see if the download and purchase worked.

See I found a used Kindle paperwhite 11th gen (in great condition) with 16GB on ebay for $70 (its tested and working). I wasn't sure if that would be the better choice between the new one (12th gen) or buy the one I found for half the price.

@lisadefries67182 ай бұрын
Thanks interesting info. I am wondering about all the new 2024 line up. I have an old paper white years old now one of the first paper whites which I think is 6 inches and feels like quite a small screen. Screen is ok but should I get kindle paper white 2024 or kindle signature edition. Heard that enhanced lighting feature on signature can bleed not sure exactly what that means but sounds like a poor experience. Due to wanting a large screen to read larger font on I was even wondering about the scribe although it’s rather expensive and bulky plus heavier so not sure it would be right for me. Tricky once Ive got it I will be reading of it for years so want to make correct choice.😊
@TheFrenchGlow2 ай бұрын
hi! The scribe is much larger to hold in the hand but the 7" paperwhite will definitely feel like an upgrade over a 6". I have both sizes and think 7" paperwhites are the ideal size for most people.

@JesusSavesSinners2 ай бұрын
One thing you said is False. You said Amazon No Longer Gives Good Discounts on their Kindles. In October on Kindle Prime Day they had their Kindle Devices up to 40% off. And the Previous Prime Day in May I think it was they had their Kindle Devices up to 52% off. At least 3 times a year Kindle E-Readers are sold at huge Discounts. The Last Brand New Kindle Basic I bought I paid $80.00 for the Kids Bundle the Regular Price for the Bundle was around $170.00 including Taxes. I just bought the Brand New Kindle Colorsoft Bundle and that Saved me around 20%. So I don't Understand why you are Saying that Amazon doesn't Discount their Kindle Devices anymore. When I Bought my Kindle Scribe I Saved 52% on it. I have Never paid full price for any of my numerous Kindle Devices I have bought over the years.
@TheFrenchGlow2 ай бұрын
Hi! I host Amazon live streams for over 5 years with thousands of daily streams and the Kindle paper-white deals used to drop to $70 on prime day and $50 for kindles. We have no seen any Kindle deals close in 2 years.
@JesusSavesSinners2 ай бұрын
@@TheFrenchGlow So if Amazon Kindle Does Not Drop the Price by around 50% you Don't Think they are Discounting the Price... 🫣🫣🫣 The Amazon Kindle Paper White's Regular Price has been $160.00 depending on where you live it might cost a little more or a little less. I have bought 4 Amazon Kindle Paper Whites for 11th Generation. One was a Kids Bundle I saved 40% I purchased 2 other Bundles for 44% off and I bought the 4th for around $70.00. I bought All of them Brand New. I also bought a New Kindle Basic the most recent version that was for sale for $49.00 Brand New. You are Wrong about Amazon Kindle E-Readers Not being Sold for Discount Prices. The Whole Reason for Amazon Prime Day is for Amazon to Sell their own Products at a Discount. Literally on Every Amazon Prime Day Amazon Kindle E-Readers are being sold from between 20% off up to 52% off. Plus the covers and accessories are all Discounted too. They always offer Bundles where you will Save Typically 20% to 44% or more by buying the Bundles. Amazon has 2 Different Prime Days a Year one open to the Public and the other one is Just for Prime Members. Also for the Christmas Holidays Amazon sells their Kindles with large Discounts.

Truth be told... I am not sure if the speed improvements are important. Flipping pages is perfectly okay with my 11th gen and I usually just wander over to my browser to look for books to buy to send to the kindle anyway so shopping isn't a big deal. I WOULD like a bigger screen. I have a Scribe as well that i use a lot for note taking but truth be told it's almost too big for longer reading sessions. I'd love a kindle that struck a middle ground - maybe a 7 inch model or something like that... I'm probably staying with the 11th gen and waiting for a 13th gen kindle that might be better sized.
