Thank you for this awesome review! I clicked so fast on your video. The rose metals palette is gorgeous! Absolutely going to pick it up. I think the 200% more they’re referring to was against their older palettes (before nouveau) since those were 0.02 each. I vaguely remember that they also said nouveau had 200% more product per pan. I love my Nouvea palette,so I will probably get this eventually.I really want some not ashy cool tones. Blues and purples and greens, and some grey thrown in. But warms are so easy to just throw on and this is very 90s looking glam. You look beautiful as always !

That little palette is so cute. Gives you enough options without being overwhelming. I'm finding these days I'm much more drawn to Quads, Quints and mini palettes. The Rose Metals looks beautiful, but I know I don't need it. You mentioned Pat Mcgrath Labs, and I've seen the promo pics of her holiday release. I've no interest in that large holiday palette this year.

TFS, such comprehensive swatch comparisons. Nouveau is more sage green while metals seems more olive/khaki green. I prefer Nouveau. It was neutral but still different, which is so hard to do in 2022. Also prefer the Primrose over the mini!

I got the thinner one as a group gift for my birthday a few years ago and, believe it or not, I bought the thicker one for myself about 15 years ago when you could still save up and afford one of these. My first ABH Palette was the Nouveau Palette. I'm sure it was also said that this palette had more content in it as well. Maybe, they're referring to the previous ABH Palettes? I definitely love my cool tones too but I'm happy with a muted rose and similar shades also. My favourite cool tone palette will always be the YSL Couture Clutch Palette in Tuxedo - heavenly!💖

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty They are fantastic! They aren't just an Eye Palette but a complete Face Palette. The Tuxedo is the only one that is aimed solely at the eyes but the others can be used for the eyes, blush, contour, bronzer and highlight. They can look boring to some but they're meant to be used like an artist palette by mixing the shades and using them wherever you care too. The packaging is jaw-dropping also! It's definitely worth to try one at least to find if it suits your needs and colour story.💖

I loved the primer with the gold flecks which I saw reduced on the website from AU$75.00 to $41.00, so grabbed two. They tend to drop prices every now and then. On International Lipstick Day (I'm not kidding!), they had a Buy 1, Get 1 Free Sale. I ended up with 4 Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks for the price of 2. They do need to spruce up their Collection of products that are available Online but I have heard great things about the Rouge Pur Couture The Bold Lipstick which I'm wanting to try. I have got their Concealer Pen with the brush on the end which I'm loving too. I don't know if it's just our Online Store in Australia that hasn't got many products in stock but what I have tried, I'm very happy with. Good luck.💖

I love your hair relaxed and wavy. I might get the Nouveau or the mini ( if avail. in Montreal) only cause of my olive skin tone and brown hooded eyes. Many pinks make me look sickly LOL Thank you for your conscious mind about budgets, we tend to get out of control from all new releases. Some people may feel "pressured" to keep up with all the new products on the crowded market. I am guilty of never ever panning an entire eye shadow palette, bronzer etc. Have a fab weekend :)

The mini palette looks great for travel and easy to use. But the big one is nice too. Is the right side super warm ? There’s so many releases coming out soon from Dior and Tom Ford Charlotte Tilbury I just don’t know if I should wait because I can’t buy all of them. I just don’t even have room where to store them. Love your hair. I was looking out for your review on this. Your reviews never disappoint. The shades on the little palette are pretty but I have these shades 10x over. Good curation. There is something off on the Rose metal palette for me. I am on the fence. I don’t use my Nouveau palette a lot but I think I prefer it for spring to the new one. Rose metal will be a good option to pick up for our autumn, very happy it is not limited edition.

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty years ago, I panned a lot of my eyeshadows. But, back then it was mostly quads that were available, Chanel, Dior, Trish McEvoy. There were no ND, or PML, or “special “ shades, “multichromes, etc Eyeshadows came a looooong way! The formulas have definitely gotten better.

The smaller palette is more interesting to me than the big one (and to be honest i feel the shades can be found in other palettes like probably Rose Quartz, so no need to get it IMO). With all these recent new releases (Maneater after dark, Em(power)ed, rosy mcmichael x beauty creations), i find the bigger palette from ABH quite similar and a bit boring. In my case i'd be getting the Huda one instead. I did purchase the nouveau palette but i did fin that one unique and it is very pretty too.

I actually like the smaller palette better. For me, the Rose Metals palette has too many darker shades which I guess is why I like the Nouveau more. I prefer mostly lighter shades. And the look on you is so pretty!! Can't wait for this to drop!

That is smart shopping! My daughters both have birthdays around the holidays and buying for holiday and birthday, it’s just ridiculous so I’ve decided to kind of start doing what you’re doing. They like to go on a shopping trip and I think I’m going to buy, like a $20 gift card each month for them leading up to the holidays. So that they can have like a few hundred dollars to spend for Christmas and birthday at the store they like and it won’t hit me on a credit card all at once.

So it’s a super Duper cheapo thing off Amazon and I didn’t want everyone to have to stare at the ugly back of it so I used some contact like sticky wallpaper on the back. It’s DIY ha ha!

I think both of those palettes are really pretty….BUT I think I have similar shades with my other ABH palettes. Anyone else agree? I’m not sure it’s so incredibly different than what is in Sultry, Soft Glam and Norvina. …plus I have Nouveau as well. I Enjoy ABH quality but I think I will pass on this one. Thanks Rebecca!

I didn’t know ABH came out with a new palette. I love the tones in the Metals. I skipped the Nouveau and the Primrose. I didn’t like that light purple in the Nouveau, it didn’t go with any of the other shades that were in it. But, this new palette looks beautiful. I’m skipping the mega PML palette. Ehhh, not for me. Can’t wait to see the Metals one in person.

Totally agreed on that weird violet shade in the nouveau, Janice. I don’t know if you noticed when I held the pallet side-by-side that that lavender shade has never been used. I think I touched it only to swatch it when I first reviewed the pallet.

I like a nice purple eye once in a while, like the discontinued Viseart Liasons. Everything in that palette was very well thought out, for a purple or silver theme.

I stay away from ABH because I have sensitive eyes, and they always warn that at least 2 or 3 shades from every palette aren’t For use on the eyes… for their eye palettes…

Hello Celina! I have a video on makeup allergies where I address that fda warning. It’s been removed in most countries other than the US. We are just big and it takes a while to get to it. The warning is for irritation and staining. No more so than other shadows tho. But since you know you have sensitive eyes, it’s important to be very careful!!

@notfitforprintbeauty Awesome little review, JUST what I was looking for! I too wonder how on EARTH you got your hands on this, but who cares, right? The only things I kinda missed were verbal descriptions of the shades (as some are duochromes, sparkly, whatever, and that doesn't always translate on screen), and maybe side by side comparisons for possible dupes. But great swatches, super w/ the indoors/outdoors lighting, and well, the speech itself. Concise & to the point. I've personally NEVER been into ABH, for some reason, and passed on the Nouveau when it released, as it's kinda similar to Zoeva's Melody, that I have, but came across it IRL lately, swatched it -- and was SOLD. The CREAMINESS?! Alas, it seems the owner is pro-Putin (see controversy on ... IG, I think it was?), so not too keen on supporting the brand (at all, really), but it looks like I will be setting a bad example and cave for BOTH of these palettes, if only there's a good enough BF deal. Also, I believe they would complement each other well -- thoughts on that option? Last but not least, love how you do the demos just as irreverently as makeupcrayz (that I follow & appreciate already)! Always appreciate a messy look; it's quite freeing both to see, and to do.:)
