My theory is that each lore (be it regular spells, prayers or manifestations) will have its own "lorescroll" card. Basically a warscroll card that lists the 3-4 spells/prayers instead of a unit. And for the manifestations, these spells will tell you how to summon and set up the lore's manifestation models. So each spell to summon a manifestion would list its own casting value and then the manifestation's warscroll card would list a separate banishment value.

I dig it! Would def be nice to have the flexibility to mix and match different elements like casting and banishment value, and this seems like a good way to approach it!

Thank you for the discussion. The new way endless spells work is one of the things i look forward to the most with 4th ed. I play sylvaneth and hedonites casually (brought sylvaneth to a tournament once, but came dead last with my ylthari led host xp) This will be a good motivator to get the gnarlroot built, and the hedonite spells bought! Also really neat to not have to bring billion trees when out and about, but man there are going to be a blood/sapbath of destroyed and resummoned trees now 😂

Thanks for the comment, Christian! And glad you’re getting psyched about the new edition. I def am too! I def hope there are more ways to keep those trees alive. Otherwise against anti-magic lists it might be pretty hard to keep any on the field at all, leaving us Sylvaneth players with very few battle traits to work with…

Amazing analysis! I’m very hyped for 4th edition but I’m also worried by te possibility of a free krondspine and that the removed most of the stormcast traits. My guess is that most of the traits will come in the form of the batallions. Perhaps the ruination chamber is a batallion where you have to bring the new hero.

No way the krondspine will be free and still retain its current power. I imagine he'll come at a cost or be very hard to summon. Or easy to unbind 🤔 I mean banish 😉
