I've put 1650kms on my 2023 Phantom since I got it two months ago. I've had no issues, I've changed the tires once so far & though I use the regen brakes 100% of the time. I installed hydraulic Nutt brakes since the standard disc brakes are pretty awful. The only times you'd need to use the disc brakes is for emergency stopping at high speeds but you'll want that to work for sure. Regen braking is far superior to regular or even hydraulic brakes for virtually all but emergency high speed stops. With Regen, you can plan your stops a lot later - it's very tough to lock up the back wheel but you can in gravel. Very controlled stopping on tarmac. I set mine to 10 (max) but despite the warnings, regen braking is very user-friendly. You won't go over the handlebars unless you carelessly slam your thumb down on the regen brakes. Regen braking does light up the brake lights, the controls are well thought out. I have no idea how much battery charge you get back from regen in real world riding, but at the very least, you're not wearing out brake pads. With 10" wheels spinning at 60+ km/h using 160mm brake rotors, you can go through a lot of brake pads. I used a set of pads every 300kms on my '22 Apollo Ghost (same brakes, 140mm rotors). You'll need to go around the scooter & tighten bolts once in a while & keeping the tires at 50psi exactly will keep you from getting flats. Investing in a few tools is imperative. The kit that comes with the Phantom is half junk, but some good stuff. I could list what you'll need and/or want to get here on request. You'll also want to get a secondary headlight if you're riding in the dark. I love the Phantom, live in eastern Canada, and haven't put gas in my car in 4 months - it's the best thing I've ever bought, to be honest - it's SO fun, I ride every chance I get. Big but tho: it's certainly not an F1 or even reminiscent of one. The Phantom is not meant to be ridden in the rain but most people who have, have had no issues. One guy on a Reddit reported water damage to his V1 battery despite having seen no rain, but he has 27,000 kms on his. I thought I rode MINE a lot!. The Phantom's got IP54 (dustproofness of 5, water proofness of 4), meaning it's 'splash proof', but not rain proof. While not an F1 by a longshot, it's quite fast for the price. If you're on 10" wheels, the world above 60km/h is not a safe place, period. You will not hold up cars if you're sharing lanes with vehicles, but if you want to push it, you can get 70km/h out of this thing in a bit of a downhill slope & in 'LUDO' mode. I think if you use Eco mode when possible, on a long, straight stretch using cruise control & no really steep inclines, you can easily get 70kms of range. My riding (I'm 190lbs + 20lbs in my backpack, avg speed of about 30km/h, 20kms or so evey ride) uses about 50% of my battery. That riding is usually with max throttle available, some steep hills, a few runs of about 65km/h, LUDO used only a few mins. That's been consistent too - the battery hasn't degraded noticeably. I charge the battery with a rapid charger from 50% or lower at least twice per week. If you want to know what the F1 of scooters is like, the "Nami Burn-E2 Max" or the ugly but capable "Kaabo Wolf King GTR" are currently the top performance production scooters (tho you can get faster boutique scooters like the RION). The average speed/range at the top of the production-level food chain is about 100km/h / 140km. You'll get 11" or 12" tires on them, but you'll also spend $5k USD at least. I'd recommend riding a scooter for a while & find what your 'sweet spot' will be - where will you spend most of your time at? For me, it's typically between 40km/h and 55km/h, I get tired of standing up after about 20kms or so. The controller might not be an exciting thing to talk about, but it's got real-world relevance, for example: I've got a 2022 Apollo Ghost. Same tires, but far below the Phantom in every way. It's got 1000w per wheel, compared to the 1200w per wheel on the Phantom. On a full charge, max throttle settings, the Ghost's actually slightly faster to 50km/h than the Phantom even with its throttle on max & LUDO mode. The Phantom is faster from 50+. Try that again with both scooters at, say, 60% charge, and the Phantom totally dominates either range. The Phantom controller gives what I can estimate is almost identical acceleration with LUDO mode throughout the 40% - 90% range. My brother, about 160lbs, and I, 190lbs, switched scooters & tried again - same result. The battery level will eventually affect the acceleration in the Phantom, but it's the battery/motor temps that will restrict it in its peak range. The Ghost will keep letting you max-load the battery & motors (did 5 speed runs of 0-60km/h) 'til you get an error & you'll have to restart it & ride slowly til it cools down. That's why the controller is so important.

First buy seeking your advice: Vsett 10+, Mukuta 10+, Klima, Phantom V3 or any other recommendations you may have. I live in an extremely hilly suburb, 6ft1, 265lbs about 15 miles per day commute. No doubt there will end up being some recreational riding.

Hopefully the V3 is a vast improvement over the V1. How many problems did I have, let me count the ways. The biggest is the throttle and controller are diabolical, but as I have the 60 volt version there is no upgrade kit. In the process of converting the battery down to 52 volt, so I can install the Mach 1. I also have the city pro which is flawless.

City Pro is pretty great, I would love to get the Apollo Pro for its IP66 rating, but its top speed is notably slower & its range is average at best for that price range.

Not sure why title states 'Performs Like an F1 Racing Car', and it's towards bottom on both acceleration and speed compared to similarly priced alternatives.

Can we get a "max" or "luxury" edition of this scooter? For a 75lb scooter it has a tiny battery. I don't see any excuse to have less than a 1.5kwh Battery in this weight class.

The UNAGI wil do just fine on that surface but going to feel the vibration on the foot board & on the handle bars.That solid tires is just barely ok.Riding on a rougher surfaces watch out for your teeth!!!! It can be very nasty!!! On max settings it's very quick to speed 📴.Good responsive torque.Done 7 miles/11Km distance in max setting & hills. Torqued it a lot!!! On a bike slow riding uphill like 5 blocks quite steep. The UNAGI was just speeding up at ease on the same road🛣️.Walking would be slower like 15 minutes on a15-20% hill.The UNAGI done it in 3 minutes. Excellent motor brakes! Quick 🛑!!!

Update the Newest version of the Phantom V3 does not ship out with Nutt brakes. Apollo downgraded to cheaper non brand brakes due to the regen brake.

Ive got a V2. Worst looking fenders on any scooter. They look like old cans pounded into shape with one strap .They will rattle and then the bolts will come loose.They end up tilted and are difficult to straighten. Had to replace all the bolts on rear fender. Scooter needs a sine wave controller. Unable to run at a steady speeds. Its like all on power then release...switch on then switch off riding. Kinda sucks if you ask me. Should have got the Mantis GT Pro. Suspension not very good off road either on the bumpy stuff...will cause your teeth to chatter and loosen the fillings in your mouth. No tool provided to adjust the spring only shocks either. Great brakes (hydraulic). Good lighting. Great handlebars and grips. Good looking except for the dumb looking fenders. V3 upgrade kit unavailable presently. Im selling my V2.

Says the guy who bought a $30,000 + tax, tag, title, registration and dealer fees, vehicle with an 8% annual interest rate over the course of three years requiring mandatory monthly payments and annual registration renewal with county government who will also suspend your license if you fail to pay insurance (which also cost money, maybe $3k yearly) which is also mandatory. All this when you ONLY use said vehicle to get to and from work and maybe the grocery store...sounds like you got ripped off

@@messagedeleted4307you can actually get a used car for around 2k and that car will get you from point A-B a heck of a lot faster than this scooter could.. electric scooters should be for cruising around town, making minor trips and some fun offroading.. when scooters start going 50mph or more then you're just flirting with death
@Mwellmac
@Mwellmac Жыл бұрын
@jasondefelice2710 maybe death has a fat a**... why would you concern yourself with what someone else wants to do.. having the speed on one of these doesnt necessarily mean thats how fast you go all the time.
