Sad to say this is a laugage that does not and will not be recognised in most of Aotearoa part from that good to see the moriori alive and well physically and spiritually I was told that they were a friendly type of people which the Maori took full advantage of so all the best to the moriorii people

Why are you trying to box all Maori took advantage of their identity and culture and peacefulness. Get your facts straightened. The Maori people today's Maori people cannot be blamed for what happened to Moriori in those times.just like all Europeans cannot be blamed for what happened to how things were for Maori people. There are many Maori people who are very peaceful. You are just stereotyping. Yet you will come across good and bad in every race. Dont try and stereotype all Maori people took advantage of them. Is not the case. I'm happy to see them bring their language and culture into New Zealans again as I am with Maori people. No language or culture should be dismissed. But more so respected. Respect each others culture is how it should be.

Moriori embraced a pacifist culture that rigidly avoided warfare, replacing it with dispute resolution in the form of ritual fighting and conciliation. The ban on warfare and cannibalism is attributed to their ancestor Nunuku-whenua. "...because men get angry and during such anger feel the will to strike, that so they may, but only with a rod the thickness of a thumb, and one stretch of the arms length, and thrash away, but that on an abrasion of the hide, or first sign of blood, all should consider honour satisfied." - Oral tradition Despite knowing that the Māori did not share their pacifism, and despite the admonition by some of the elder chiefs that the principle of Nunuku was not appropriate now, two chiefs - Tapata and Torea - declared that *"the law of Nunuku was not a strategy for survival, to be varied as conditions changed; it was a moral imperative."* They were extremely wise for a so called primitive people. It's so sad what happened.

Revive these languages at your own cost... Not from the taxpayers purse.
