Hi Robert! I love your video, I definitely would be waiting a few years to upgrade, I'm on a M1 iPad 11in. to me the biggest con is the OS and apps, if apple could somehow put MacOS on the iPad pro I would trade it for my current MBP M1 and iPad pro M1.

Hi Robert. How do you think this will affect Wacom (and other like Huion) might it push Wacom to bring production of their art pen again. Or maybe even integrate barrel roll as standard? Will Huion follow now. And maybe most interesting of all. Will Samsung push Wacom (considering they own a stake in Wacom)to upgrade the S PEN tech so their tablets also have barrel rol AKA “we need to have same features of Apple NOW!!!” What is your thoughts?

This is going to disrupt everything. The Apple pencil works great, and Apple's ability to market will make this a thing for artists. This will push the competition.

@@DigitalPaintingTips exactly. Just to be clear what I referred to was the barrel roll feature specifically. I mean it’s sad how bad Wacom was at marketing their barrel roll (and why not include it in all their pens) I myself got to know barrel roll by chance when I many years ago bought a used Cintiq and it came included with it and the seller informed me about it. I work (not as artist anymore) in game development and I would say maybe 5 % of the artist of which almost all used Wacom knew about the Wacom art pen with barrel roll. And those who knew about it also had and used it. Heck don’t know if you are ware (search KZbin) 3 month ago or so a guy made a video about that Wacom stopped / halted their production of their art pen and by checking the comments that was so many pro digital artists that only then realized the value of barrel roll. The remaining pen supply was sold out in a day or so :) Still it’s funny to the point of strange that Wacom after 15 years or so stop production of their pen with barrel roll and one month after Apple upgrades their pen to have it :) Let’s hope now the Apple Pencil pro takes off. I mean if it don’t really create a buzz others might not follow (I hope and think they will) Wacom is still an example of having this barrel roll feature and it still could be claimed that feature failed commercially.
