Russell has become my favorite knife rep, and I'm glad to see he has the product to back it up. Bought my first CJRB recently and figured I'd go with something a little ridiculous with the Tigris. Great knife and a way better slicer than you'd expect from something so big!

Love Artisan! They're not afraid to do new and different things. Love the Ahab!
@twatmunro2 жыл бұрын
The Ahab (and the Gavco) were really the only knives I didn't like. OK, that automatic balisong seemed a bit retarded as well. Choose one or the other, auto or bali -- you don't need both. It's just introducing complication for it's own sake. Which makes it sound like I don't like 'new and different' -- that's not the case. I just didn't like the aesthetics on any of these. Gavco's blade shapes have always seemed pointless and inelegant to me. Form follows function, so what's the function on a squiggly Gavco blade shape? Or that bloody harpoon?
@Bear-nu8xm2 жыл бұрын
@@twatmunro I really like high ,flat, thin grinds that's why the Ahab. The Gavco was ridiculous, the pump action auto couldn't really tell because it's only a prototype and the auto balisong was pretty cool. I like artisan because they aren't scared to break the mold and that's how really awesome, new designs come about at times.

That Tigris/Euphrates joke may have gone over some peoples heads, but I enjoyed it. So the OTF is gonna be reversed to create a single action with a charging slide as oppose to a handle that come out of the bottom? I like the look of the design. I actually like everything on the table this year except what is up with the Gavko? I see this all the time with chisel grinds that they have a fixed right hand pocket clip but have a left handed grind. Maybe I am wrong but I feel that the grind should be on the clip side and not the presentation side.
@topfueljunkie1002 жыл бұрын
You're not wrong! I've been saying the same thing for years now, it's on the wrong side! Just a dumb move to keep all the nice looking stuff on the presentation side for marketing/advertising. From a functional standpoint, it's dumb though. There's a reason that well designed Japanese knives of kitchen and outdoor designs do exactly what we're saying and put the bevel on the opposite side.
