Gear changes might be quick and punchy but how does it feel when taking off from an intersection? Does it moan like an automatic? I had a 2013 Audi S4 with a dual clutch and now I own a 2017 S4 with an automatic. While moving the transmission is comparable but when taking off from a standstill at low throttle, I.e. everyday driving, it’s horrible. It goes through first and even into second moaning before it finally locks up the torque converter. Don’t get me wrong, I love my S4, but that one thing alone really bugs me. Horrible compared to the previous dual clutch.

A beautiful Alex is presenting a beautiful car. No doubt, both are pure emotion 🙂 However there are some serious downsides of the car which are to consider: the window lift buttons look very cheap and are obviously "stolen" from a Ford Fiesta, the brakes perform weak, the gear box can not match a PDK, steering feels very synthetic and prices for the options are excessive. f.ex. Ion blue is 12K€, ceramic disks are 14K€ in Germany. With some minimum options the car quickly exceeds 270k€ which is on a level of a technical much superior benchmark 992 Porsche Turbo S.

As good as this car is (and it is really good), I'd still rather have the old V12 Vantage, the car Jeremy Clarkson described as "an ending." It's prettier and the noise is just so much better.
