I've got OCD, and I had difficulties with that in the past. But since I'm working as an electronics tech, and working with microscopic stuff, sometimes, after working on something, fiddling around with it for an hour even, you just have to say "I DON'T CARE! Do whatever ya want ya stupid SMD's!" and move on with life. Eventually your desire to save time will override your OCD, because wasting time can cause more anxiety than my OCD in that occasion lol

@maklogetrich237810 ай бұрын
especially those ryzen 6000 and 7000 series
@patricksewell201010 ай бұрын
The long load at "BIOS" on this one was due to RAM Training to pick an XMP Profile. The short circuit where it was would have initiated/simulated a BIOS reset and this initiated the RAM Training which takes time for sure😉
@supergeekjay10 ай бұрын
@@patricksewell2010 Not necessarily the short circuit. The battery going flat/being disconnected will do the same thing as it has to re-learn. My older Dell G3 3779 GTX 1060 machine does it. I recently had to replace the palmrest, the hinge area collapsed, it was a complete rebuild, the first boot POST took ages, it power cycled several times!
@xxcommentator10 ай бұрын
What's up with new asus rog laptop models keep having short circuit issues. The old one that I brought lasted me a good seven years and the new one that I got lasted merely a year, seems like they don't make them like they used to anymore 😢

Someone may say that he doesn't see any water damage because it could be a laptop used by the family, so he doesn't know EVERYTHING which may have happened to the unit. 6:18, depending on the circuit, the three caps in parallel aren't just for redundancy, but if they are different values, they may be used to reduce ripple in the supply at different frequencies. No way all three of those are the same value.

Hi there, I have the exact same laptop but my issue is the bsod chain. I sended my laptop to geeksquad a month ago & they told me they can't fix it because it was a motherboard issue or something then they sent me the laptop back. and i booted the laptop and noticed that they uninstalled the whole windows system and i have no way of booting to windows. it just keeps sending me to bios. so i was wondering maybe you could help me out? thanks.

I can imagine the customer saying in advance about water damage. Because when you send stuff back to manufacturers and you have normal warranty. They always tried to blame it on the customer and they say it has water damage because that always void any type of warranty. so they dont have to repair it unde warranty or they can send you a big fat invoice for repairing..

I have a rog g531g laptop and it stopped charging all of the sudden. The charging light on the laptop started blinking but the laptop can still run on battery so I assume all the main components are fine. I opened it up to check the mainboard and I found out I have short almost on every caps specially those behind the cpu and gpu. I send it for repair and they tell me everything is fine it's probably the charger itself... I wanna know how is that possible that I get short meaning 0 ohm reading on both sides of the caps but they tell me it's all fine? Am I wrong on my reading? I used the screw hole on the mainboard for my ground and I'm sure I got the reading of 0 ohm on both sides of the caps.
