If you can only have/afford/want one car, let be realistic, the RS3 is the one. Do you think you would take that Mercedes to a funeral with that rear wing? What do you think non-car people/colleagues might think, probably that your a bit childish with those spoilers. The RS3 is such an awesome car, fast, practical, looks awesome, sound is amazing, no problem if you want to do long distances, safe.. It's pretty close to perfect.

@@realtalk7571 Chill dude. The price is high but appropriate, how many cars are out there with a starting price of 55.000$ that do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and run 10s in the ¼ mile? Usually you'd have to pay 20-30k more to get this kind of figures, plus the RS3 is also outstanding for every day use.

That's actually not true. Id estimate 20% of the RS3 owners in our club use them regularly for motorsports of som kind. Myself I like Hill climbs, drags and sprints, but people use them for all sorts of things. Now the pre FL car does have some tip in understeer at the limits which makes it less chuckable, but it still has excellent traction with a great engine with tons of torque ,the 7spd gearbox is also tough and fast. Its great audi have made the new one fun to drive as well as extremely fast. The only thing they need to do now is give the OEM tires a change, the Pzero's are OK, but really are not a track tire. Some PSS as standard with cup2's as options or similar would be better overall. With CUP'2 it would be as fast as a cayman S around a track for sure

Right. Both your stats are wrong, and your premise is wrong. The RS3 is a performance machine and most of the testing he's doing CAN'T be done on the road. The guy's trying to help both friends and foes get some info; he's not trying to get arrested for doing corners over the speed limit or going slightly sideways on public roads.

So £60k is a lot for a hatchback but think about how much car you are getting. I've always rated the RS3 more than the other because it's the best all rounder. You would literally keep up with anything in the real world on British roads, the Quattro gets the power down better than the others. 3.7secs 0-60 is crazy!! And you can still take the kids to school in comfort, do you're weekly shop and smoke anything on you're way home. It's the ultimate daily weapon and my dad has booked a test drive in 2 weeks, wonder what he thinks? Great review!!

In Norway the S3 starts at 620 000 NOK, which is the same as 60 000 GBP. So to get a fullspec RS3 at 65 000 GBP is a steal... So I guess in Norway it wil start around 850 000 NOK (85 000 GBP)

I’ve driven a few very fast Audi’s. Yes they were quick in a straight line but felt clinical, numb and detached. Honestly once you’ve driven fast M cars Audi’s do feel dull. I own an Audi Q5 3.0 Quattro so I’m not hating on the brand!

Considering these two lovely cars the problem in some countries could be additional / bigger tax regarding engine size (like in Poland for engines 2.0 and bigger). So if you check starting prices - the RS3 is 14 750 GBP more expensive than A45. Then I think its no brainier.

The Mercedes AMG A45 looks like a rally car I think so. Both cars look amazing! I prefer the black spoke style AMG wheels. The Audi wheels are ugly. AMG spoke style wheels have more of a custom/tuning wheels design, BBS style. The interior of both cars is awesome! I think dual exhaust tips on each side would have been better on the Audi RS3 and of course more noise. The ABT version of the Audi is mind blowing! 😁
