I'm sorry this happened to him. How awful to be betrayed this way. The false interpreter should get 10 years in prison for theft, including Identity theft, fraud, emotional damage, pain and suffering, and other charges.

Ippei is probably the most despised man in Japan these days. Back in the old days, he likely would have been expected to commit harakiri.

I knew immediately Ohtani was inncocent and knew Ippei was guilty after reading the affidavit, the feds have all of Ippei's gambling record amounted to $17 million in debt that he could'nt payoff. Shohei would never be in debt.

Plus those FBI agents want a promotion for catching a big fish like Shohei. They would never protect him and let him fry in the pan if he was guilty of anything. Some people are just jealous of him not being on their team that's why they wanted him off the Dodgers to balance out the talents. As of now, the Dodgers are set to become a Dynasty during Shohei's prime years.

Here are titles of Michael Kay's KZbin videos back in April 2024: "Is Shohei Ohtani Guilty and Smart or Innocent and Stupid?" "Did Rob Manfred Cover Up Shohei Ohtani Involvement?" "Shohei Ohtani Gets Away with Everything" "Shohei Ohtani Won't Answer Any Questions" I was so happy when the Yankees got taken down by the Dodgers in the World Series and you could argue that without Ohtani this past season, the Dodgers would not have won the World Series.

That Michael Kay dude also have an audacity to yells and tells Dodgers fans why they defend him when they barely know him.

@@Kim67749 Also maybe help quitting gambling entirely. If you're 40 million + in gambling dept then ya've clearly got a problem.

Ohtani was too wealthy to notice that hundreds of thousands of dollars were missing from his bank account, or he was in on it. Which seems more likely? I'd add "laziness" as another character flaw that might have prevented Ohtani from noticing that thousands were missing from his account; however, that would be consistent with being rich enough to hire someone else to handle his account. 🙂

I knew all along Shohei was innocent, a person with a brain would've known Ippie was guiIty. They have tape recordings and the translator changing the account to his name. Shohei came here with no family and the only friend was like a family that he knew since he was a teenager. Shohei is a two way player concentrating only on baseball while he left all his finances and shopping to Ippei, there are some of the biggest sports and movie stars that were scammed by close associates in the past. Ippei used Shohei's account entrusted to him for errands shopping meals taxes travel expenses, and Ippei used that money to gamble.
