This build is amazing and you walk thru building it perfectly. I however modified it a little bit… I kept the items to be smelted the same… but I changed the fuel logic. I built it right near my 84 renewable lava farm… and lava does not work well for the system you showed (non-stackable). Instead I worked some logic for a cart with chest to only run if it is full (or no more lava in storage for it to run) and the system has open spaces! Also, added in auto crafters to the output to combine the ores for storage.

This is such a cool build! I've been trying to create a super smelter for ages, and your design is just what I needed. I love how you explained the Redstone circuitry in detail, it really helped me understand how everything works. I can't wait to try this out in my own world!

Check my math but you might be slightly more efficient turning the bamboo into sticks instead of bamboo slabs if you’re just doing an item per furnace at a time. 4 bamboo=2 sticks = 1 item smelt exactly. 27 bamboo = 3 planks = 6 slabs, ttherefore 4.5 bamboo per slab, which wastes 1 bamboo per two items smelted if only smelting 1 at a time.
@BluJayMC4 ай бұрын
That may be true...BUT...I'd have to send 2 fuel minecarts for every one smeltable items minecart. Would break the whole system the way I have it designed and would have to redesign it. And idea for the future though!

Im having issues with my first 3 furnaces getting loaded with an extra slab and the last three furnaces only have the smelt-able item with no fuel. And after the items are smelted, the droppers at the ice stream don’t release all of the items into the stream. There are always at least 2 items remaining in all of the droppers. If you could help me figure these issues out I would greatly appreciate it because I would really like to have this in my survival world. Thank you
@michaelcumby57203 ай бұрын
Well i figured out my problem and got it working. However, if I load the fuel chest with 3 full stacks of slabs and I load the smelting chest with 3 full stack of items to smelt, the first two trips around work perfectly but when the 3rd stack of slabs starts going into the hopper mincart, somehow two slabs get sucked into the hopper by the dispenser as the mine cart rolls away and go into the dispenser. So I’m only able to load one or two stacks of slabs at a time

I built this and faced my pistons towards sunrise, built it exactly the same and when I run it, I get double the fuel and items to smelt for the first 32 and nothing for the second row of 32 not sure why it’s doing this and might have to look at another design as it keeps breaking
@BluJayMC4 ай бұрын
Are you playing on a server or local world? Do you have powered rails across all furnaces? Are you sure you built it exactly to spec? I’ve stress tested this MANY times and have never run into 2 items dropping into each furnace. Sounds like maybe something wasn’t build correctly or maybe you’re experiencing server lag.

Why not Autocraft your fuel? Seems logical to string a Bamboo farm into a stream of Autocrafters to keep your Smelter fuelled?

I designed this before the crafter came out. We’ll do some stuff with the crafter though.

@@bobwall3I watch the video first to understand what I am building then if you select playback speed and slow the video down the verbal instructions are still understandable, and the video goes slow enough to follow along, and then if it goes too far ahead of where I’m up to, I’ll rewind it about a minute back and listen to already covered/built content while I finish the part I’m on and be ready for the next step of the build and this also helps me identify if I did anything wrong
