@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway Ideal for a smaller layout, the sound is ok, I may improve the speaker at some point! But still a great little model 🙂

@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway I haven’t, but will have a look, I am getting the green Class 30 and fitting it with the Legobiffo sound, when it arrives 🙂 but may also get the rail freight gray 31, always liked that colour, although a bit late for the early 60’s 😳🤣😂

@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway Hi Steve, The 31 sounds great, love all the 08/09 too, I am ordered the new Bachmann 08, will be interesting to see it working with the auto release coupling! Great layout mate! 👌

NEW OR BATCH PRODUCTION ? "New" ! Or just the latest "Batch Production" ? As most manufacturers now use this "Batch Production" method simply to obviate expensive warehousing ? In other words if you don't buy it quickly there will be no more in the shops, until the next production run possibly in a couple of years time. This allows the manufacturer to slowly run through their range, as modern tooling allows each production to have different "running numbers, names, or even minor detail alterations" !!!

@@railwaymechanicalengineer4587 Actually you maybe correct, although, to be honest I really don’t care; if it’s a new model or a new batch! Does it really matter, I am sure there have been many Class 121 over the years, however, it’s new for me and a very good model.

@@Kingscleremodelrailway The point of my comment, is that you therefore cannot "buy" from a manufacturers catalogue. As only a tiny fraction of any range is actually available at any moment in time. Which makes it much harder to plan your layouts fleet, assuming you are sticking to a specific era. My exhibition layout for example is based on the last ten years of Southern steam 1958-67 !!!!

@@railwaymechanicalengineer4587 very true, although I am sure any manufacturer wouldn’t be able too hold that amount of stock. However, I completely agree with your point. I would love a U class (ready to run) but I cannot see this be produced any time soon, also the annoyance when you have a model which has been made significantly better with a newer version, the Heljan Class 33 for example 🙄 It would appear we are modelling a similar time period, although I am more a Western man 🙂

Like the subtle weathering, I think I need to dress down my old Lima model, although of course these new models are light years away!
