Thank you so much for this. I just bought the version 2 Bungalow Tent and it doesn’t come with instructions, so your video was extremely thorough and easy to follow. Can’t wait to set it up. Bravo.

I'm 6' 1'' in my seventies and I use an ultralight cot thats about 12' off the ground. I tend to camp in the Fall and early winter so there are no bugs. Maybe I could keep the mesh up and the front up. I could then fit the cot towards the front and be able to sit up on the cot and stay off the ground. What do you think?
@pikeoutside7284 жыл бұрын
I think that would totally work. I would imagine that the cot would take up a fair amount of the space inside, and you'd have to be careful of the floor with the cot legs, but otherwise it seems like a solid plan.

Nice and to the point, thanks. It's good to see that there is at least one manufacturer that listens to their customer's feed back. All the best.

Thanks for the video man I was gonna get the version 1 since it was cheaper, but your video convinced me the improvements on the version 2 are worth it. I plan on making a cover for the vent on the back by glueing velcro strips on the inside along the edge of the vent and doing the same on a strip of fabric to close it off it needed from the inside.

Great! I think you're going to love it. It is just a fun tent and works great for bushcraft because the porch gives you shelter from rain and snow during extended periods in camp when you want to work on projects and meal prep.

It's a great 1 person tent, inexpensive, and if you already use trekking poles you are saving weight.

It's a very unique and versatile tent. Just needs a small roof line vent to eliminate condensation. Otherwise, outstanding.

Is there room in the tent for a bicycle as well as one person?
@pikeoutside7285 жыл бұрын
You could certainly fit a bike under the awning portion if it were in the up position, but otherwise, you couldn't shelter a normal bike inside.

I've got version 1.0 and it leaked pretty bad on me. The ridgeline isnt sealed very well at all where the net tie back tabs are or on each end under the exterior loops. I was able to cut the tabs and reseal it so it's watertight now. The only other issues I had were the windows like you mentioned, and the weird color combination of coyote tan w/ neon green grosgrain loops and lines lol. I ditched the lines for coyote 550 cord, but I'm stuck with the loops unless I get really creative with a black sharpie . Great vid, sub'd .

Thanks, friend! I have only had version one out in light rain and it did fine, but version two did leak on me a bit after hours of really heavy rain. Otherwise, I think version two improved a lot on the things I didn't like from version one. I'll make sure to sub ya back. Cheers!

Great review. If only it could be canvas as Baker tents are very expensive
@pikeoutside7285 жыл бұрын
That would be a neat option! Obviously the overall product would be heavier and probably more expensive, but the durability would be the great virtue of a canvas version. I would worry less about flame and sparks. That said, I have had fires near the BB and its doable as long as you keep it small. I had a big fire too near my version 1 and put a couple of small holes in the thing. :-(
@vancouverislandbushcraft48795 жыл бұрын
True but wayyyy heavier. This one is pretty durable so far
@mart872uk4 жыл бұрын
Model one the windows are a nice feature (ventilation partly unzip and wedge open with something ) In the summer these could be open both ends. Winter just one end part open to avoid rain. Windows avoid claustrophobia perhaps , and you can see what's going on outside. Great tent idea , or could be used as a tarp type sitting area - even if you have a tent . Nice video.

@vancouverislandbushcraft48795 жыл бұрын
@@pikeoutside728 Works good but the "tarp part" fills with water if you don't prop it with a stick...zippers should end a few inches higher...other than that it is great...I just use a prop stick no biggy
@pikeoutside7285 жыл бұрын
@@vancouverislandbushcraft4879 I know exactly what you are talking about. I used to live in western Oregon and our tarps and tents would always fill with rain until you propped up a point. So, do you just put the stick in the middle of the tarp/porch?
@vancouverislandbushcraft48795 жыл бұрын
Yes that works best...I put a pretty good angle on the front of the tarp portion and I round the stick and put moss on top so not to tear the fabric then prop the tarp in the center
