I'm definitely a tarp man, but keep looking at this tent. The little angel on my right shoulder keeps telling me I don't need it. But the devil on my left is shouting I want it. Think I will need to watch this a few more times to make my mind up 🤔😉👍

Looks like a good camp despite the weather, good old British weather lol. My mate has a Wild Country Helm 1 Compact and that has a zipped door for the vestibule storage on the side opposite to the entrance which is similar to Mark's tent. Works well from what I've seen but like you say, not many tents seem to do it. The Backwoods Bungalow looks pretty solid too, I've recently tried out a OneTigris hot tent and mesh tent I bought and I have been impressed with the quality and design. Now I need to resist the urge to buy even more gear I can probably do without - the joys of camping lol

It's a great tent that held up in the rain for me last year, although it's best in the warmer months. I face mine east to catch the sunrise through the trees in the morning as I keep the awning open all night. Great stuff👍

Great video...And really appreciated the fact that you weren't reminding everyone to "like and subscribe" every 2 seconds. So I liked and subscribed :-). I bought the same OneTigres tent as an alternative to the hammock, and absolutely love it...Especially the built-in porch mode option for the front. Also need to try that Pot Noodle flavor. Not so easy to get here in the States. Cheers Chief!

I enjoyed seeing the Backwoods Bungalow in use in weather. I own one, but have not yet used it, mostly because I've been backpacking long'ish trips and the 3lb+ weight of the bungalow has had me choosing my lighter tent options. However, I expect to use it this year. I got it because of how 'comforting' the design is... huge mesh door, outer door makes into adjustable awning, side flaps block wind from the sides, great ventilation w/ back-bottom flap, etc. A lot of tent, and modeled after its historical baker's tent ancestor used in days gone by. Thanks again.

I got one of these and I love it!!!! I been caught in a torrential downpour with the awning open on both sides with one tilted down and took no water! Most amazing night I had with it 😊😊😊 I highly recommend the ground sheet that they make for it and the 2 poles for a perfect setup! Nice and crisp! I use 2 trekking poles for the awning. This hands down is my favorite tent I've ever owned in ever 😂😂😂 I've thought about buying a second one incase my current one gets damaged or worn out. That's how much I love this tent lol Great vid by the way!!! ❤

@thecreeper67993 ай бұрын
@@frogmaster83 yeah me too! It's so nice! When I set it up I actually feel like I have a home base set up. I bring a table to my right and I sit in a comfy ultralight chair under the canopy and it's so relaxing to feel the shade and breeze while yer shielded from the harsh elements with the door acting as an awning from elements above. I had the best sleep I've had in a while. 😜🤪😜🤪 and I only took in 3 tablespoons of water (at most) cuz I pitched it in a low spot where a puddle had formed on the outside under my footprint layer. Was an amazing night! The thunder, the wind, the downpour! I slept like a baby ! 🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤

Hi Allan, you have lovely deciduous woods in your part of the world. It's all managed conifer plantations in Wales nevertheless it's better than nothing. I feel your pain regarding the rain, I was out recently with Twin Peaks Outdoors and we spent most of our time in the tents. Take it easy atb Taff 🤠👊
@frogmaster833 ай бұрын
Hi Taff, this place is an old plantation but mixed. The Pine plantations are ok, as long as they are not planted too close together. Sadly its all about money now.

Got the very same tent but in OD green as this was the cheapest colour. I usually use some sticks to prop up the back vent guides lines as I find this really helps in opening up that vent. Would like to buy the Stella 4 season for winter when I get the cash to do so too.
