Considering Poppy is now the voice of Bad Omens' AI, V.A.N., she will probably have a few more features on their new album. While I do wish Noah was on it cause he has one of my favorite singing voices in the industry, mad respect to them taking this route for their first new song in two years. I know Noah does a lot of mixing/synth work as well so Im sure he had a hand in the song in a major but background kinda way. After the last year of people turning on them because of the way Noah has been getting idolized by the fairweather/poser fans who just think hes hot, mad props for this as a concept, because they are more than just him. If you were to find one of the numerous videos of Noah messing around with his software, you'd realize that the music on this is ALL him. He composes it on his computer. It wouldn't even surprise me if the two major melody lines began as his ideas. I think it's safe to say Poppy wrote the lyrics and added her own touches. The band recorded their parts. Using "x" is telling. This implies that this is not one artist's song over the other. It's not "y featuring z" or vice versa. If anyone is surprised by this, go back and listen to any interview Noah did over the last few years. When people asked him about collaborations, he'd always say Poppy. This might be a one-off single, but that feels like a waste. If they can't manage to squeeze out an EP and then tour together, it would be a hugely missed opportunity. If more music IS the case, I can't imagine they pass up the change for an easy hit by doing a sappy duet piano ballad. Noah sees the power of writing pop (Just Pretend began as a joke) and it's very apparent he's good at it. I don't think they're much worried about their cred or clout. It's BS. Sell out. Make money. There are so few people that can make a living doing this anymore. Even if there's kicking and screaming, you must accept that you're a rock star. A concept that is nearly extinct. I don't mean it in the way that you do drugs and crash your Porsche, but by being able to inspire a million kids to pick up instruments and go start a band. Dude wants his throne. He's got it 😎

Poppy didn't write lyrics she's only the voice and helped with the concept of the video. The instrumentals, lyrics were by Noah and Jolly, the production and composition was by Noah. It's a full bad omens song with poppy as the singer

@@joyjoyz778 fair enough. I was making an educated guess, having not seen any credits. I wasn't far off. And of course the visual element. I know that's big for a lot of people, but it's usually the last thing I take into account. I think musicians relate. I want every note of the song absorbed before I even open my eyes to that stuff. Not even words. Just the melody lines. Lyrics are dead last on the list. Without a good hook, it doesn't matter what I say. Some find that strange since I sing, but it's all about the compositional aspects. It's about deconstructing the whole, admiring the pieces, before putting it back together. Make a note or two that might be helpful when I'm in the thick of a writing session.

@@aeoligarlic4024 has he gone full sober? So many stories start with him getting drunk 😆 If he is, that's great. The best my voice ever sounded was when I didn't drink, smoke or do drugs, all while doing warm-ups and cool-offs when I'd practice singing. I got it down to a tight 15 minutes before singing for an extended period of time. I do hope Noah hooked up with a vocal coach. Those headline sets were killing him. But the tight 40 min support slots are no issue.

honestly the amount of hate this song is getting is WILD to me. You're allowed to have an opinion, you're allowed to not like it, but don't go shoving your opinion where no one (i.e, people who likes the song) wants to hear it. They're not going to delete it because you're spamming their socials! That's part of metal, doing what they want to do and not giving a fuck. I think the song is fire! But even if I didn't like it, I would only call it a miss in my opinion then move on. I didn't really like DiE4U by BMTH, does that make me any less of a fan? No! One bad song, in your opinion, doesn't mean you have to start boycotting the band. Just grow up, my dudes.
