Thanks, Reece, for the NB Hiero shoe review. Although I have run in the NB fresh foam road shoes, I have not tried their trail shoes. I've been running in the Hoka Mafate Speed 4, which has a lower drop and is lighter than the Hiero. Yes, part of the Hiero GTX weight is the GoreTex. Great to see that you're healthy and racing again!

Thanks Reto, was a bit of a mistake buying the NB Heirro v7 don’t like them much, can you recommend any Hoka shoes better than the speedgoat 5 for speedy long runs with that also have good endurance shoes, for the next pair of road training shoes, the Hoka Mack 6 have good reviews, Congrats on your Verbier UTMB Marathon, looks like one of your best videos amazing scenery, & awesome running Reto ✌️🏃🏽♂️🌴🥳😃🌲👍

@@gokiwi2642 thanks Reece, it was beautiful, brutal, and fun! I'm running in the Hoka Mafate Speed 4, I used them in the Canyons Endurance Run on technical trails, ran a recon on.the Kodiak 100 course where I covered 43 miles on a weekend, and used them for the Verbier Marathon. Probably 200 miles and the Vibram sole shows no wear. Lighter and wider than the Speedgoat.

For the road and groomed trails, I run in the Hoka Clifton 9. I've run my 3 completed 100 mile ultras in.the Clifton 9, and I run my track workouts in the same shoe.

Loved my N.B. shoes until one of my more 3s lost all of its rubber pieces I sort of glued them back on but lost my trust in New Balance. I have tried 6 or 7 pairs of Hoka never liked them at all they just dont fit my feet.

Thanks for making the comment, yeah I think when it comes to running shoes, what suits one person totally doesn’t suit the next person, I think with the New Balance Hierro v7 think they should be advertising them as hiking shoes & not trail running shoes, I still like New Balance just like Hoka slightly better 😀
