Hi Claire, these aren’t goretex so not waterproof. I think there are goretex (water resistant) versions available though…

How is the midsole for comfort? That’s my biggest concern. Is it protective enough when running on roots and sharp rocks? Is it cushioned enough when running on harder/more packed terrain? Is there enough ground feel? And how flexible is it? In regards to the outsole, how does it perform on wet grass and mud? Is it slippery on smooth surfaces like bleachers and wet cement? I’m looking for new shoes for obstacle course races that go on hard packed dirt, concrete, swampland, sand, mud, bleachers, concrete, grass, plexiglass, forest floors, stream beds, river rocks, and logs. 3-15 miles😕Shoe hunting has been tough.

Hi, it’s a soft midsole so not loads of protection. You get some ground feel so sharp rocks are noticeable and there is no plate so less protection. Outsole is great, no loss of grip on any running surface so far. I’ve been on wet roads, grass, boggy fields, trails, woodlands, sand, hard packed trails, canals towpaths, gravel, snow etc. The lugs are quite pronounced so there might be some issues on smooth surfaces. Thanks for watching!
