It costs $330 in Australia which is the same price as Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris! I think $280 is a reasonable price for this type of shoe in the Aus market but $330 is too expensive (at least for me). Then again the Mizuno Neo Vista and Asics Superblast are steeply priced too at $320. It's a Nay from me.

You & Fordy Runs seem to enjoy running in this but other youtubers like Yowana didnt seem to like this at all! 😂Waiting for mine to arrive next week, most of your recommendations works fr me especially the Puma's so i assume it will be same here & am quite fond of FuelCell foams tbh. still running in FuelCell TCs too. @EDDBUD2 ай бұрын
Yeah when the Superblast is 29 quid cheaper it’s hard to go for this!
@andrewharper42962 ай бұрын
This is one of those models that varies so much between updates, and causes so many different reviews. I have a pair of the V1’s that I’m using as I have a bit of an injury and the massive amount of foam is really helping me. However, yes they are heavy. I recently switched back to my Superblasts and the difference is really noticeable but they are nowhere near as bouncy and a bit harder to run in over longer distances. The rocker design in the v1 works well. The v2 was a very different design and some v1 owners hated it, others loved it. With the v3 NB have played with the design again, and like last time the feedback has been very mixed. I am a heavier runner at the moment (85kg) and the V1 is really helping me stay injury free so I may run the Great North Run in them because although they are on the heavier side, they keep my legs rolling along nicely and at the moment that’s what I need. Not sure why they are so pricey in the UK, I think the V1 was the same but I got mine on sale anyway. However the build quality is pretty good, I’ve had some pairs of Nike and they just fall apart after a certain distance but maybe I was unlucky! 😂

Hi Edd, just got a pair with the sportsshoes 25%discount - which made the price palatable. Had/have both previous versions and they are all completely different. Only one 7 mile run at marathon pace. Very rigid, but still enough cushion. I think it will flex and soften up though. Will be using this on alternative long-runs for marathon block - V2 slower, V3 faster. One issue I have is the toebox on one shoe - it almost feels like the last is angled incorrectly. I can feel my big toe rubbing on the inside, but didn't overly bother me. Jury is out until this weekend's long run. It's a great looking shoe - constantly found myself staring admiringly at them on the run.

@@EDDBUD yup. Did another 7 mile at slightly slower pace in the sunshine this afternoon. felt a little more flexible and softer. Still aware of the odd feeling about the angle on one shoe, but doesn't affect me, so probably in my mind. Doesn't feel like a 6mm drop though. They feel exactly what they are - a heavier, more comfortable version of the SC Elite V4. I like them! Not a slow run shoe though - you could do easy/recovery in previous versions, but I can't see it in these.

For a daily trainer would you recommend the nimbus 26 or invincible 3, or would you recommend a whole different shoe? Thanks Edd
@EDDBUD2 ай бұрын
Invincible is good for easy stuff but too compressive for me as a daily option. Take a look at the novablast

Edd, would this be a suitable race shoe? I've read alot of good things about the Fuel Cell SC V4, but its incredibly expensive at the moment. Is this a reasonable trade off shoe?

Heya @EDDBUD Been a while…. SC Trainer 3 or Fresh Foam X More v5?
@EDDBUD2 ай бұрын
Yet to try the more 5. But I like this one, just very costly
@toribarry90442 ай бұрын
Loved my v1s, v2 disappointed me and this isn’t selling me on the v3s. Rebel V4s were sent straight back as they were just too mushy under foot
@EDDBUD2 ай бұрын
Yeah the rebel 4 was certainly soft. This isn’t quite the compressive fest of that shoe

i noticed the american brands pricing has all hiked up comparing to german/japanese brands when you look at exchange rates. Maybe you can do a video about it? New balance is one of the worse for this

Wild increase.

@@EDDBUD I just think it pointless shoe - I definitely NB fan 6 pairs of NB but wouldn't get this pair
@jimoconnor85972 ай бұрын
NB just missed for me in 2024. I thought the Pacer would be a good one for the marathon for me but it is clearly only a 5k/10k maybe 13.1 shoe. Not for $199 though. NB pricing has just gotten out of control.

peba blend, carbon plate, 40mm heel stack cushion trainer for $180 USD seems cheap actually. what other comparable shoes are you looking at to say this is overpriced?
@theghostofpcs23912 ай бұрын
I agree. It's 250 euro here, which is the same price as the Metaspeed Paris shoes... The v2 at 230 was already way too much.
@theghostofpcs23912 ай бұрын
@@minhinh0 The v1 had a carbon plate, 47mm heel stack, no peba, but under 200 euro (I think it was 180 at full price). And you can get a high end carbon racer for the same 250 euro the v3 costs. It's insanely overpriced.
