Dunno if this has been mentioned yet or not but you can use the floor of the gateway as a start for the alignment mod and make a floor perfectly aligned to the gateway floor :D

The platforms are straight sided, you are stood on a relatively small sphere. Two straight lines cannot be parallel. That's why everything is so hard to line up, it's non-euclidean geometry.

You just need to set up 1 platform and use that platform to align the others by leaving the new platform packaged, place it on the unpacked platform, turn it as desired, and then place it on the ground and unpack it. You now have it aligned to the same direction as the other, Yes I know that only does 1 direction but it does help.

Rather than putting the power lines underground or using extenders, you can can use the XL Sensor Arches. They look pretty good for that and you can put angled flood lights on them.

They need to make a tool that projects a grid pattern on the ground. That would make it much much easier to get a symmetrical base place.

oi slip you can use the small generator as connectors instead of extenders. coz extenders are like DIODES (directional)...

Stick a smaller wind turbine on the tractor, on Glacio you'll never run out of power, or most places in all honesty coz the tractor is so light on juice. And definitely keep those triangle large storages, they help split/maximise storage capacity of the Large Rover and Large Shuttle. Loving the series though, it's helped me definitely get back in to the game, not played since before the automation stuff, only problem is hours, work wise I'm pretty rammed this month, so limited top a few hours at weekends.

if you stand in what will be the center of your base and dig a hole up to your shoulders. then, without moving, use the aliment tool and flatten the area as far as you can reach in a circle. remove the aliment tool and flatten out the rest until you no longer have a lip. you will have a flat area without that ugly edge.

Bro to get rid of the aliment tools curve just turn it off after making a flat spot and then continue flating without the mod......btw the alignment mod doesn't just follow the curveture of the planet it follow the direction of your circle. Make a wall them turn 20° right slowly while still placing soil and you'll make a seemless curve
