To be fair, VR has come a long way from the virtual boy. Quest 3 has a very stable frame rate it’s possible that your motion sickness is either gone or could easily dissipate

Just a heads up Camouflaj has been a 1st party Studio for Meta since 2021 so it’s unlikely to go to other headsets BUT the huge plus is that Meta will throw as much money as they want at it so it should have a legit budget.

The quest line of VR devices are by far the most popular systems. Quest has sold more than Xbox this generation (>25mil) psvr2 (>500k) and all pcvr (>3mil active users on steam, 50% of which are quest).

@@inshal6420 explains why on quest. but why ONLY on Quest3 though? like the Quest2 is still the most sold VR headset ever. heard that even inhouse the Q3 is still just seen as some kind of Q2 Pro version. not releasing a "worse" version (like they did for TWDSS) for the Q2 will mean losing A LOT of potential buyers. so either this will be a cheap passthrough tech demo with not much money to lose or it will be huge, well funded and meta actually thinks this will become kind of a system seller, which is...well let's call it bold. idk haven't really figured out what to think of it yet

Also I’m not a fan that it is VR only because I don’t like the change in medium that you have four games on console and one on VR. So what I think they should do is make an Arkham VR box set including a remaster of origins. I think it would be very cool to play the other four games in VR detective vision, scary atmospheres, standing in the rain

I’m such a huge VR gamer and Arkham is my favorite series of all time so this is an amazing announcement except they just had to make it a quest exclusive when I’m over on psvr2 which already cost me $550 😢

SAO is a full dive(meaning it connects to your brain and your brain controls everything) VR is no different then a 3D stereoscopic game that the camera movement is fixed to the display. As for your motion sickness it either goes away after you get use to it, or if the refresh rate is high enough(90hz or higher) it's no longer a problem. As for the Price a console is $399 to $599 so not really a difference. Bonus is the VR headset also includes a screen as well.

SAO was based on Dot//Hack's VR system which had a neural interface, so unless we have to plug our brains into it, VR will (hopefully) not leave us comatose if we lose in a game. Regarding the Arkham reveal, though, it'd be cool if they throw in easter eggs about other villains and this ends up being part of a campaign to build up hype for a new series of games set in the Origins timeline. Suicide Squad has proven to be a PR nightmare, so in an ideal world, WB gives the series to a new team, and they pivot to a totally new series. One can hope, anyway.

Keep in mind that Camouflaj is a first party studio now. Meta will give them unlimited funding. Asgards Wrath 2 was a phenomenal first party 100+ hour RPG. Batman shouldn’t be less than 12-15 hours imo. It’s going to be a real game.

If your hating on vr you either can’t handle it or haven’t actually experienced it. Playing games like resident evil, battle talent and Ironman really show what vr can do. The fact knightwing can’t even play vr is why you shouldn’t be down playing this new Arkham game. Personally it's cool VR fans got another Batman VR game but to me I am disappointed it is one especially making it exclusive to the Meta Quest 3. And even though VR is cool but I am not paying $500 to get one plus $70 to get the game as well. Yes I do have a comment on this Batman game and also the others as well my comments are that the Batman franchise was always good but the thing is when Rock steady came in and brought in Batman in the way that it was one of the most popular games of our generation but there is a problem with all the Batman Arkham games and I see this with a lot of people on KZbin that loves these games but I love these games as well ever since I played Batman vengeance Batman begins and also Batman rise of Sun Tzu but the I know everybody has their own opinions to these games but one thing that still bothers me still today why is everybody saying that the Batman Arkham games are the same universe when a few years back everybody was saying that they were all different universes except Batman Arkham origins now talking about Arkham origins I know the Rock steady did not have any control of that game but the thing is WB Montreal should have never forgot about that game and yet they move forward to a Batman Arkham knights game and yet they were talking about remastering it and yet it never happen and so yet why is it that WB wants to make other Batman Arkham games and not different Batman game I mean Batman Arkham origins I love still today because there was a lot of good things about it only thing that went wrong was that you cannot play different costumes so if anybody could tell me why WB and rocksteady are still making these Arkham games please write back to me or comment to my message thank you and a good

I just feel like it’s an instant dead on arrival , besides the Quest 3 requirement, because it immediately eliminates the free flow combat and movement mechanics that make 50% of the game. We come to expect a certain gameplay style from these games, ex: Arkham VR, besides being a glorified tech demo, focused only really on the detective side, and it was boring as shit. I really hope this game will act as a teaser of some sorts, for a larger triple a game

@@baki484 no tf it was not. PROTOTYPE IS AN ORIGINAL GAME, INFAMOUS WAS AN ORIGINAL GAME. GodHand was an original game. IP's that never existed before the creation of said game. Not make a game on existing properties or around theme and insert BS character traits to make them different.
