This jam is crammed with good sounds. Very rich. The posterize filter on the vid was a good choice, too. 👍🤖✋

What was the effect at 1:10, pitch shifter ? Thanks
@ShimanskiBeats7 жыл бұрын
if you mean the effect on the vocal samples: I put some flanger and chorus on the files before I loaded them into the electribe. If you mean the fill in at 1:20, this is just the gate-arp used on the snare

How did I miss this!! what a great song, best newbeat so far!!! I am amazed of you're cristal clear sound, are you running it through an Eventide Space or something comparable?? It sounds amazing and also the complex structure attracts!!! very very nice

thanks a lot man! Great you like it! I use a couple of (budget) effect units such as the Lexicon MX200, the TC M-One XL and the TC M-350, and put some post processing on the stereo audio file in the computer (bit of EQ, compression, limiting).

Shimanski Beats: Check! I use the Lex mpx-100 and find it a very simple and cheap way to "industrialize" my sounds, te boss re20 sure helps to make it better but I need some better compression indeed. I will check out the other lexintons soon, maybe also something for me, as they are affordable! really like it! thanks for you're reply ✌

never had any older Lexicons, which are said to sound much better than the budget version. However for the live jams and live sets in general they sound decent and are very easy to use

Hi! I'm so inspired by your video man, good job! I'm new to the synth world, I would like to know the tools I need to achieve a similar setup as yours. Is there any web site that talks more about midi sequencing? I only have two keyboards and some modules.

Hi ,that's nice, thanks a lot! If you're interested in hardware jams, you should check out the KZbin channel Dawless Jammin. In the earlier videos Jade Wii gives introductions to hardware midi setups kzbin.info/door/qjAXHR5DHTCahIHpg7vspg

Thanks man I appreciate your suggestion, will definitely check that page out! As far as drum machines/sequencer do you recommend the electribe for ebm, industrial kind of stuff? I have a Yamaha AN200 which has a built in drum sequencer but it sounds kinda meh (I do like it’s VA engine tho). I also have a Maschine Mikro which is nice but there’s too much menu diving, that’s why I’m trying to get into hardware jamming. The Korg seems promising and easy to use but I’m wondering if it has a lot of limitations judging by its price point.

IMO the Electribe sampler is a very good hardware sequencer for controlling your other gear. Very intuitive and practical to use, being a sampler, you can load it with any drum and effect sounds you like, although I often used (tweaked) stock samples in my live jams, too. Surely it has its limitations but if you're new to hardware jamming, these are rather neglectable. If you want better inbuilt synth sounds, you should consider the regular Electribe. You mentioned you have keyboards and modules, so if the latter supply you with enough synth tracks, the Electribe Sampler is the way to go.
