I have had the PX4 Storm in 9mm flavor for about a year. Flawless weapon ! Shoots like butter, easy field strip, and just the sexiest gun I have ever seen. So I just went out this weekend and picked up the same in .40 flavor. Oh my gosh its sweet. shoots just as smooth as the 9mm. Own a ton of handguns of all mfgs and the Beretta is definitely one of my favorites. Smooth smooth smooth. I like.......

I paid $599.00 at Gunprime on June 2019. Free shipping, paid $35 transfer fee. Came with 3 mags. Added a lighter hammer spring and the new trigger bar from LTT and it is basically the best compact pistol on the market with the best trigger. Even with a 3.27 inch barrel it punches one hole groups at 10 yards.

Hello Jonathan. I have the previous model and have not had any failures yet. Fyi, the reason why The rear sites are blacked out is because the designer of this version, Ernest Langdon, not only teaches tactical classes, but he also shoots competition. In his classes he teaches that the focus should be on the front sight. For this reason the back sights are blacked out and the front sight is square and large. It helps put focus on the front sight increasing accuracy. But like you said, it is a matter of preference when it comes to sights.

john price I'm with you on the whole price thing. It's also brand new and a little harder to find right now so I'm sure some places might be price gouging a little bit just because they can. I'm sure after it's been out for a while and it's readily available the price might drop but I'm like you I figure with all the extras that are on there it's been about that much if you did it all yourself accept this way you don't have to do it all yourself somebody's done all the work for you.

A lot of people seem to like music in their video introductions; I do not, it's aggravating (opinions do indeed vary). I really appreciate how you did not shy away from breaking down the price of the pistol right off the bat. Now, I understand that prices vary but how much a product costs is very important to most of us and yet, only a few reviewers mention it so, that's the good now, the bad; this video was tedious and difficult to watch, I am very interested in this particular pistol or I would never have hung around to the end, in fact when that obnoxious instrumental opened up I'd have bailed (I like metal, that ain't it). The narration was just bad (far too much "ummh and Ahh" and repetition). If you're intent on continuing making videos and actually want them to be watched by someone other than family, watch your own videos,... a few times. I am actually attempting to give you some constructive criticism so..on a positive note, most You Tubers videos suck.so, don't feel too bad.

I appreciate your honesty! I agree, there was too much ummh's and ahh's, I just didn't want to spend the time redoing the whole thing by the time I noticed it because it would have taken too much time. I used the music just to make it a little more like a real video instead of just something that appeared homemade. It's really more industrial metal like Manson, Zombie, Rammstein, NIN category so yeah if you're not into industrial type of metal you won't like it.

I think you'll like the blacked out rear sights. My M9A1 has the Wilson Combat blacked out rear sights with fiber optic front. I love it.

Hey I'm just wondering if you turned that little Spicer over what it holds 15 rounds of ammunition, the other side's is to put your small parts in if you decide to take any parts off your gun it's not necessarily A spacer.

I've got mine on a 90 day layaway. I mainly appendix Carry and like that this one can be chambered then decocked. Otherwise I own Glocks and will not chamber a round on a striker gun and carry it appendix.(although I do if I carry at a 4:30 position) Personal preference. Holster availability / support is what sucks about going non-glock. I've got a G-Code eclipse for the glocks and it works well. Otherwise, I think i may use a belly band and pants belt to keep it in position. Good overview.

On the Beretta site they have a PX4 Compact, a Compact Carry and a Carry. I just purchased to Compact Carry thinking it was the Ernest Langdon version. The Beretta site only says the Carry is the Ernest Langdon collaboration. Nothing on their site says the Compact Carry is the Ernest Langdon collaboration. Am I missing something or are they both an Ernest Langdon collaboration? Please help. I haven't picked up the gun yet and would like to switch it out for the Langdon version before it's too late.

Hi, You probably know this by now, but in case that you don't, I'd let you know something really quickly about the backstraps that come with the gun. The medium (comes already installed on the gun) and the smallest sized backstrap go on, and can be removed from the gun fairly easily, but be aware the largest sized backstrap for some reason seems to require a lot more effort to install or remove (it's a much tighter fit) than the other two. The procedure for removing/installing the backstraps is the same for all of them, though. Lastly when you find a backstrap that fits your hands best, I would try to stick with that one on there as much as you can. Changing the smaller sized backstraps here and there is pretty easy and not really a big deal, but changing them out too constantly (especially the large backstrap) kind of tends to chew them up at the bottom near the mag well. Hopefully this is useful to you. Enjoy your new gun!

dexm2010 Yes thank you sir! This model actually came with the smallest backstrap on. You are quite correct about changing them out causing damage. I noticed that just swapping the small one with the medium one I scuffed the plastic just a little bit. Also with the talon grip tape that comes with the gun you can't change then out without ruining the talon grip tape. In the instructions for how to apply the talon grip tape it basically tells you to make sure the backstrap you choose is the one you plan to keep on there because you can't change it out once you've put on the talon grips without ruining the talon grips to change it out.

Ron Mathias thanks so much I actually have an inside waistband holster, an outside the waistband holster & I got deep concealment holster for when you're wearing things like warm up pants and a tactical light with laser. So when all these things come in the mail I plan to do a follow-up video letting people know the different accessories and Holster options available for this model with a tactical light or without.

Great job on your first video. Loved it. However, in future videos dont mention the rails, lights, lasers, or any of that junk. That's a sign that you are a first time gun owner. The only extra on my px4 is a tiny sony action camera that mounts to the rail, and that's strictly in case I have to go to court someday!

Nice job on the review. The only thing I would change (and everybody does it) is going through the paperwork they send with the gun. It's boring and I don't think anybody really cares about it. Personally I think 7 or 8 lbs on a double action pull is on the light side. Most DA triggers I've come across are in the 10+ lbs range. Nice job. Hope to see a review after you shoot it. I've been interested in this gun for a while.

Anthony Solorzano you can purchase one online at a lot of different places and then have it shipped to an authorized local dealer. Just check with one of your local dealers. I know Academy Sports is one of the bigger dealers that allows transfers from an online store to their store. But smaller mom and pop gun stores often charge less of a transfer fee. Hope this helps

The plastic guide rails on the rear of the gun is cheesy. The gun would be perfect if only it had all metal guide rails. I won't buy the xd or xdm because of polymer guide rails. For what they want for a plastic gun you can get an all metal "lifetime gun" like a CZ. I own the XDs, it has all metal guide rails.

Well beretta is trying desperately to take a pistol series PX4 that is virtually dead and has been since it's inception (pistol series never really took off) and resurrect it somewhat by tweaking it with a few additional doo-dads and coating the slide, slapping a cheap "AmeriGlo" front night sight on it - getting Langdon to put his name on it and running it to market with a whopping price increase - old versions of this same pistol dealer price is $475 - I suppose the tweaks do add up to about $200 at dealer cost but ramping it up to $820 for retail is just over the top. I hope you like that pistol because you will NEVER get your money back on it actually my prediction is you will lose around $300 to $350 in today's rapidly declining firearms market. Although we all wanted to see Trump get elected in effect his election has absolutely killed the firearms market as far as sales and re-sales especially the AR market. My prediction is you will see quite a few AR companies hit the skids over the next year.

terez tiago I will say that in order to take a standard PX4 compact and put all the upgrades on it that come on the Compact Carry plus the extra mag, you'd probably end up spending about the same. But yeah, it's not cheap, if you want to get all those upgrades and if you want the gun now. If I waited a year I could probably get it for $50 or $75 less but it was worth it to me to go ahead and pay top retail to begin enjoying it now.

These guns, specifically the PX4 Compact Carry, with the LTT upgrades, are going as high as $1100-$1400 these day. You’re paying a fair bit for the custom work from LTT. Custom triggers and upgrades do not come cheap.
