dude me to brother. 1 thing about berkley is they use scent to attract the bass and thats 1 thing i love about Berkley powerbaits then i do any other soft bait out there on the market. just when i thought i had enough baits for now to get me through the year Matt done comes proves that i gotta try the Maxscent chigger craw.

I bought some Maxscent the General after watching a video you did awhile back. I got a small largemouth when nothing was biting for any of the other Anglers on my boat. That is one great video Matt! Hank will remember the times he fished with you forever! These moments are priceless! I was playing with flatworms the other day in my shop and I could not believe how good the 3.6 flatworm looks on a Guppy Head 3/16 or 1/4 with a size one hook. Thank you for all your tips!

I've been taking my regular power baits and putting them in the pack with my Max Scent baits so they'll take on some of the scent- it's cheating but it works. Then I rough up the outside of them with my thumb nail to kill that shiny, slick look they have. Max Scent has a mat finish to it, and a rough texture- very realistic. The only issue I have with them is durability- max scent seems to interfere with the binding of the plastic a little bit. If it's something fairly thick like a General- no problems. But, if it's something with tiny appendages or thin claws- durability is an issue. Unluckily for me, I don't catch enough for that to be a problem very often.

Do you ever continue using your plastic even when they rip a claw off? I do, one because I’m cheap, and two it seems like I get just as many or more bites. I think bass are smart enough to realize it’s safer to eat a craw with one pincher.
