the reason for 'diving forward'/or walking forward is to negate some of the damage fall off of projectiles. The same applies to 1 shotting leg armor off of chargers/behemoths with the quazar. At time, it allows you to stay above the damage requirement threshold.

If I remember correctly, the MG sentry had 1/3rd of the ammo of the galtling sentry, and I think it's still the same. I still like the MG more because I don't get shot when it swivels around, and since it's up more now I highly recommend trying it out. Also the diving damage buff I think has something to do with the fact that when you shoot your weapon it loses some damage right off the bat, but for whatever reason, diving counteracts that. Not totally sure but I think that's what it is.

Correct. Apparently even standing still makes you loose 1 point of damage because of velocity. So by moving forward ( no need of a crazy dive from a cliff with your bazooka...) you get back this 1 damage. So now your EAT and quazar do their 650 damage which is enough to break a leg.

I did all sentry build yesterday with jar and nade launcher with stun nades and got 400 kills easy. Sentry’s are goated right now . Gatling , ac , rocket launcher, and mg or emp sentry

The sentries were cracked even pre-patch. People were sleepin on them. HP dosent matter if your placement is good.

That's hilarious you can use the dog Lazer pack and get more kills than that easy 😂😂😂 I got over 700 kills with 3 other people with the lazer pack and incendiary breaker

Lv 101 and I run a very similar build. I use Gatling Rocket and Auto cannon Quasar The stationary HMG feels really good right now so I’ll do some runs wo the quasar since the ac and rocket are pretty good at taking out chargers and biles. The turrets are all about the placement. High ground is king just ask Anakin….. and angles 📐 also I like putting the gattling out with the rocket and it keeps those pesky smaller bugs away from the rocket turret.

You forgot the blitzer for primary. Great at crowd control (I regularly get 20+ kill streaks with it), staggers, and has really good damage (routinely 1 or 2 shot stalkers, 1 shot brood commanders, and 2-shot hive guardians), and infinite ammo, no reloading.

As a sentry expert, i still pick the auto cannon over the rocket sentry. The rocket sentry is simply unable to deal with say 3-4 chargers and bile titants. I would swap quaser for recoiless so you can defend your sentry guns'. Because your gonna be further away from the bug breach i highly recommend eagle strafing run as the bugs will beeline the sentries. I have consistently had a better experience using 2 sentries over 3.

We really just need some heavy armor pen support weapons. HMG and HMG Mounted are soooooo close to being what you need for heavies. It feels so good in bots but chargers, B. Charger and Titans are just so armored with poor weak spots that you have to use exploits just to kill them fast.

@@joegarcia4550 It also runs out of ammo really easy. Doesn't 1shot anything either and you are a sitting duck during reload. The Quasar you just keep running around for basically the same damage. Only upside is that it takes Shrieker nets 1shot for some reason and it can lock to bot fabricators and other buildings. Not that much going for it, considering you can run a shield gen or supplies backpack with the Quasar...

Only reason I don't typically run sentries is I still feel they are sensitive and having to think about the perfect emplacement leads to me forgetting to use it the whole match.

Thoughts on swapping out the AC turret for the guard dog rover? Feel like I want something to specifically watch my back while I’m on the machine gun turret covering me while I cover the rocket turret.

Not a bad idea and can come in handy for moments when you are on cooldown! The only downside is the possibility of it hitting the sentry but shouldn't be instant destruction lol

So since they fixed peak physique the new armors go great with this build. The improved weapon handling applies to the HMG turret.

The rocket sentry shooting without the pause is a big nerf on terminids believe it or not. This is because prior to the patch the pause after the 2 rockets de aggros alot of the bugs so it would survive alot better. But now that aggro issue has been fixed and terminids beeline the rocket sentry just like the auto sentry.

Stuns are mandatory if you want to keep your sentries alive for a longer time. Chargers like to spawn close to them and it going to annoying have them destroyed too early.

I find rocket one really underwhelming compared to autocannon sentry. Less damage overall, less burst, no stagger. It's targeting bigger targets is kinda a curse in my opinion since there are just so many patrols with hunters nowadays that will just jump on it relentlessly. Longer range hardly ever plays any role on current maps. I take AC sentry, MG sentry and gatling sentry with RR on my sentry setup. AC is enough for bigger targets and mg has such a low cd that you can just throw it at every patrol.

Machine gun sentry never had as much ammo or fired as long as the Gatling Sentry. Check Ryker's video on it for confirmation
