I know it is an opposing (and maybe unpopular) opinion, but I like that they reduced the ability to "cheese" content. This game, by design, is very difficult (near impossible) to advance in as a solo player. I see while you are speaking to such players, you are in a party, which I like to see. Thanks for the tips: they help groups, too.

bears aren't buggy. If you get to a place where they can't attack you they will run away. This was part of the new patch. Makes solo work harder when dealing with bears.

I think doing a bear run is faster, i was doing this method before patch in various spots and after patch i tried and yes you get a good amount of the hides but you get large animal hidfes x2 or x3 from bears which is at least 4-6 per bear which comes in twos and very easy to kill solo. A bear run which takes 45 min (not including travel to the area) nets me 17 bears in one line then you go back and get another 13 (since not all respawn) that is 30 bears averaging 2.4 per LARGE animal hides/bear = 72 large animal hides. Versus the method of pulliong packs i only get in the 40s of animal hide NOT large for 45 min about 1 per min because you have to wait for reset of mobs or jsut find new ones. Just my 2 cents. yesterday i made over 100 boiled leather. bears just mez and pilgrims, if you have a duo its faster but if you split loot no difference. so the mobs net 40 animal hides which turn into 20 large versus 72 large from bears a huge difference. Even if i doubled the pulling a bunch of mobs method thats 40 large hides still 32 less. you would have to average 10 animal hides per pack pulled because bears usually comes in pairs of 2 which net 5 large. Time to kill 2 bears is fast two if you light one up light the other up and back and forth using mez to stun. Sometimes a pack of 2 can even net 6 large from two 3x drops which often happens.

I thought so at first because large hide. But having tested a good bear rotation they simply take too long to kill. With this rotation you still have multiple bear spawns but they are mixed in with boars and wolves so you're not wasting time fireballing and mes'ing. You just poke down the whole pack. I get almost 2x as much hide as our fastest bear runner this way. Remember, this entire video is only 25 minutes with me taking plenty of time to stop and explain things, and showing you how to troubleshoot any problems. Hourly I can net plenty more. Mes/Fireball is just too slow.

@@BionicTide ​ i guess but i saw this comment 50 min ago so i spent 25 min (took me 32 min)on bear run and i killed 14 bears for 34 large hides. according to your inventory when you showed + if i counted correctly youd have to go double as fast to get the same amount. Mez and Fireball are slow but it's only 6 second cooldown so each bear is 6x4 24 seconds but obviously not perfect so lets say 30 seconds which is less time than a full back especially bcause bears come typically in sets of two in wildlands. which reduces the time in between packs drastically. so youd have to get two packs in 1 min consistently. but to each their own! i just don't see people doing th is method anymore as it was the old method for hides prepatch.

For science if you want to try its in Merrie middle wildlands there are 18 bears in a line then you go back and kill about another 12 just circling back the way you came takes an hour for about 60-65 large animal hides. or you can take aditiuonal time for some skullcap if you are in 30s alch. and if you have two ppl the double mez borks the bears and they don't attack even when attacked so makes it faster

@@brokeish The run from my video takes about 15 min if you go fast, which is perfect timing for the unstuck reset. There's also a lot more monsters than shown in the video. There was another person killing them at that time. Both methods are good. I do bears sometimes because they are closer to my house but prefer the packs personally.

Does the concentrate heal over time stack with other hot-heals? Cantor has been elusive for me.
