Flamethrowers fire accelerant at high speed with a lot of force. It doesn't push at all in Helldivers as if its just blowing fire like a big lighter, even though the support flamethrower now drags upwards, but it should have pushback like a powerful fire hose. So at least small, and maybe medium enemies should be pushed or staggered by the force of the accelerant hitting them.

As someone who has only recently started using the sickle, I had slept on that thing. I really dig it. I think it’s very well balanced for what it is. LOVE the ammo economy. Fire rate is fast enough to overcome the “low” damage of each shot. Clears chaff like crazy. Even on bots it doesn’t suck. Deals with berserkers reasonably well enough in my opinion, but I still switch to rail gun for bigger things (9+ for the rocket striders and railgun is so nice to have)

The new flame effect looks like ass Destiny don't even know why the In-Breaker was the best. The fire 1 shots little bugs at about 50 meters Lower ammo doesn't change that. Now you have to use the resupply back pack which was already one of the best backpacks. So there idea of stopping us playing "meta" is actually a joke.

I've replaced Breaker Incendiary with Adjudicator. It's A-tier for me. I put it on semi-auto and shoot the ground in front of the bugs. Is it as good as B.I.? No. But aside from Stalkers, it can kill all chaff comfortably, including Alpha Commanders. JAR-5 simply does not have enough ammo.

It's funny how Arrowhead instantly invalidated any "balance" argument. How you ask? By increasing the speed of the bugs. If they want to talk balance and realism, they should limit bug breach locations so that bugs don't just spawn beneath the objective...which has concrete pavement... Or that destroying hives will increase bug breach timers. OR MAYBE make the inflammable bugs afraid of fire.

@@Crazymrpipz idk. I ran scythe; laser guard dog , laser pistol, laser cannon and orbital laser with incendiary grenade on bugs last night high tier. You throw the incendiary then rotate the laser weapons as they also catch everything on fire. 🔥. It was carnage and fun. Give it a run.

You’re wrong on two counts. Scythe is very good, the fire buff to lasers fixed tic dmg for them and it kills so much faster now. Adjudicator is actually quite good now simply because of the massive increase in medium armor enemies. I’ve been running shield pack, amr, scythe, nade pistol, p strike and Gatling barrage and have been smoking level 10. Solo the heavy bases with ease

Blitzer is good but I struggle with shriekers using it, used to prefer incidary breaker but you can only use now with supply pack, still a good option. My go to loadout against bugs is Incidary Breaker, Commando, G pistol, Supply Pack, Eagle Airstrike and Orbital Precision Strike as that seems to have enough firepower to take anything down. Good team support build aswell with the extra supplies

The sickle paired with the laser rover is nasty! Throw a quasar cannon and 6 impacts in the mix and I'll branch off from a team and clear most big bug holes solo with the 380mm and eagle airstrike.

A possible change/buff for the purifier. When you charge it up, it fires a 2-3 round burst. It keeps its explosion, damage, etc. Also, give it more ammo to counteract the amount t of ammo you would go through.

I really don't think the Incendiary Breaker is below the Cookout. Even after the Incendiary Breaker's nerf I don't see how using the Cookout makes sense. Yes it has 33% more damage but its rate of fire is like a quarter of the In Breaker's. Also its total ammo capacity is 76 vs the 125 of the In Breaker. The only thing it has going for it is its ability to stagger but that's really only important against Stalkers and you only notice the stagger because of its awful rate of fire. The Incendiary Breaker is better you just can't use it like a full auto shotgun anymore.

Exploding Crossbow is great for stealth play when it comes to going near nests / bot fabs and blowing them up while enemies look confused. I use it against Bugs or Bots on 9/10 all the time with Bushwhacker or Senator respectively.

Cookout ammo feels bad to me, worse than the Incendiary Breaker for sure. Not sure how you can say the IB has bad ammo economy and then not say that about the Cookout. The stagger doesn't really matter as much in the one situation where it would matter, ie Stalkers, because they definitely nerfed the Stalkers behavior somewhat and I can more reliably kill them with the IB before they bounce away.

I just don’t understand the blitzer. I know it has infinite ammo and can (eventually) kill med armor targets but It just can’t click with it. I keep getting attacked in between firing, it takes so many shots to kill targets, for some reason if a target is too close it won’t target it. I just prefer something else….

"The Eruptor didn't need a nerf" Sorry, but this is a wild take. It literally ONE SHOT chargers and bile titans in some cases, and could one shot multiple devastators. Eruptor is in a good spot right now, two body shots to kill any medium, plus splash damage, is really healthy for a primary. I don't want weapons to triviliaze the game, release eruptor and release railgun were boring as hell. This is how you get a meta where 90% of the playerbase just uses one loadout, and then you introduce power creep into the game and it becomes Paper Mache World where everything dies instantly.

try the plasma punisher, the aoe and crowd control is amazing against medium units, tough you might struggle against the smaller units that charge and do burning harakiri, either wear explosion resistance so you dont blow yourself up, or wear fire resistance so you dont burn from their harakiri attacks. id say explosion resistance is more useful but on higher difficulty, you get ragdolled around like a puppet and die anyway.

Turrets and tanks oneshot you anyway where explosion resistance even on heavy armor is completely useless on direct hit. Gunships are basically more armored flying hulks with better killing potential, but instead of fighting one after the other, you fight 5 at once sometimes, dude... this balance team is totally crazy. I honestly want to see them play on 9 or 10. I bet my future children that they wouldn't even make it to the main objective before they run out of lives.

I still think youre being too generous. I think your S tier, A tier, and B tier weapons all need to be shifted down one tier. We havent seen a true S tier weapon to date, and the vast majority of primaries feel like C or D tier weapons. If the game had as many B tier weapons as you portray, the community wouldnt be as discontent with balance as we are. Content creators who make tier lists always seem to want to 'fill the void' and spread more weapons to the upper tiers because it feels unnatural to leave entire tiers empty. I get it. But if the definition of an S tier weapon is roughly "something that overperforms compared to what its designed to do and also does well in scenarios it shouldnt, and the general consensus is that it should probably be nerfed" then we havent really seen s tier primary weapons yet. But in a game where any weapon that hits A tier already draws nerfs from Arrowhead due to their balance philosophy, we start to think of A tier weapons as S tier just because theyre the best we have. This is the crux of our problem. The Blitzer is A tier, the prenerf Incen Breaker was A tier, the prenerf Breaker was A tier, the prenerf Sickle was A tier, the current Cookout is A tier, etc.

@Crazymrpipz That's the thing though, I believe I am. Imagine that the Arrowhead balance team are a class of kids and you're the teacher. Each dev represents a primary weapon and you just gave them a test and are about to grade them all. But the highest test score was an 82 and most of the class failed the test with a score in the 60's. So you grade their tests on a curve and give everyone an 18 point bump so the best score is now 100 and most of the class who scored 60s now pass with high C's. That seems to be whats happening with a lot of creators' ter lists, and if we're adjusting our own thinking in this way, how are we going to explain to Arrowhead what actually needs to change if we're ranking weapons higher than they deserve?

Devs: Nerf Blitzer it's too over powered and everyone is using it! They have ruined fire for me, I didn't know about the speed increase on the bugs but that does make sense because they all seem to close space way too quick! I also find the blitzer ends up missing everything at point blank range which makes no sense!

I learned to use the eruptor between the shrapnel removal update and the damage buff update. Even at its worst, it was high A tier for me. I have no idea how the shrapnel played, but the idea that a mid-range shot could randomly kill you doesn't sound good at all. Disclaimer: I only play bots and I think I was maxed on samples at the time.

im Watching your videos for a few wekks now and they make me feel like almost everything is bad in this game. But it isnt. Its still an awsome Game. I agree that it would be better not to nerf more stuff and buff more but its is still really fun to play atm. And i get it, its important to point out mistakes (to make the game better) but if creators keep there negativity that constantly and (overliy) high it will lead to less players enjoying a really good game. Maybe negativ (or hyped in one or the other direction) contet gets more views but it would be nice to get at least a bit more content that points out whats fun and positiv. Now and than you say "i still like the game" but its rare. But i dont want to be all negativ. Didn't the erruptor like kill charger like 2-3 hits with the shrapnel. Also with shrapnel I think it could take out a whole patrol like in 1-2 shot. I think this primary alone would invalidate some support weapons.

I hated hearing people say "eruptor never was nerfed, the shrapnel caused a glitch that caused that much damage"... Sooooo good being proven right by having so much more proof of the dev's nerfing weapons just because they had a high pick rate/heavy usage and it just kills the entire game. They have done that with the raingun, quasar, eruptor, dominator, and now fire(all fire). How many times are people gonna get excited about something that they keep doing the same cycle of BS... "we're sorry and not gonna nerf anything else" then 2wks later "oh this gun is being used too much so it has a 'glitch' that we have to fix"... I dont even think about tryin the new gear seriously until like 2wks after the bond drops cuz i know ill only get more frustrated because of the inevitable nerfs.

Different play styles for different people dude. Until the shrapnel nerf I could solo lvl 9 all day long. Idk/idc if you didn't like it but that's subjective. If it really was objectively a bad gun, then it would never have had a 35%+ pick rate and needed any kind of nerfing. Same way some people say laser guns have "always been useless". I personally don't care for them or enjoy the type of gameplay it lends itself to but I'm not gonna just blanket state "lasers suck"... Even the brain dead dev's have said, and know, "there are lots of different play styles out there and so some ppl will like some weapons more than others.

the blitzer gives me trouble with the small bugs, because i dont know how to get multiple in one shot, and the fire rate is slower than the pump action ones, is anyone else experiencing this? like the tiny bugs that jump from a distance i need to take them out one by one

Don’t aim. Just shoot from the hip. Prioritize hunters. You can hold the trigger in now and it will shoot continuously.

@@Mr_Big_Head yeah but the stalwart is light pen. The mg-43 is medium. You have to stop to reload but with the ship module upgrade it’s way faster.

@@mysterious___1 that’s why I bring the eruptor, dominator or blitzer. Switch to one of those for hive guards and bile spewers. I use the mg43 sometimes but I just like longer sustained fire and mobility
