I wish Texas speed would sponsor you and throw a built motor in there

I was just thinking of the same thing, Tylor spends a lot of time working on his miata and FC which both have LS's yet texas speed sends one crazy expensive engine to B is for Build (bullshit) to do nothing with it other than say he put it in a Lambo
@Watchmedome30174 жыл бұрын
Victor Manuel Parra Exposito B is for Bullshit . For some reason i don’t like that channel. He seems fake like he is forcing the way he is for the camera. But Tyler seems so chill and real.

A big part of Taylor's content is these builds... I don't want to see sponsored builds, we don't learn from that... we learn from exactly these kinds of junkyard bodge jobs. Milwaukee, Holley... those are the good sponsorships for Taylor right now. Maybe later...

The cordless impacts are extremely handy. I’ve heard good things about the Milwaukee’s. I personally have the Earthquake brand 1/2” and 3/8” impacts from Harbour Freight and they are game changers for me. 3/8” is rated at 400 ft/lbs and the 1/2” is rated at 1200 ft/lbs. idk how true the ratings are but they are stout for sure. And very reasonably priced.

Taylor these are great engine's I have the same one in my Mustang. Just a little advice for you either get a fluid damper or buy a crank pining kit for it. I've had 2 crank pulleys walk off of mine before I pinned it and haven't had a single issue since. And replace the stock bolt with a A.R.P one.

I have a 5.3 set up the same way essentially and I would be extremely happy to see 350whp out of it. 330whp is very respectable out of a mild 5.3. Some people have unrealistic expectations and views of what a engine should or would make.

Taylor in part you are describing concertina effect. The concertina effect happens at turns with a trailing car temporarily closing on a car because it's not yet braking. Then the effect is reversed coming out of a turn because the lead car accelerates first. This doesn't happen at the start of a race, because all cars do hit the accelerator at the same time.

I bought a flooded 05 C6 that needed a new engine a while back, trying to find a gen 4 / 24 tooth used for a decent price was difficult. Everyone wanted over 4k for a decently used one at the time so I ended up shelling out for a 408 stroker. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on the 6.2

Taylor, I would suggest when you do the cam to actually take a look at the cam bearings and if they look rough to pop a rod cap off and look at them with the sludginess of the oil in the head. If your cam bearings look rough it isn’t much to have the mains/rods done also and probably quick with how things are going right now. Also with the terminator in the future if you need more ooompf you have set it up to spray in the ECU with way more control than a typical nitrous setup. Quick way to add 100-200 hp for tracks that 500 isn’t enough or even use it as a push to pass or create a gap. “Moo-T point” BTW.
