My pallidiflorum lives in my kitchen ,with natural light but not direct ( south facing window), the humidity is between 45 to 60 % ( he lives above calathea and next to pothos and philodendron) , in pon and he is doing soooo great! I am waiting for two new leaves , i would be sooooo happy, if they’ll be as long as your new one 😍😍😍😍

As a fellow leaf-freer, I feel like I owe you this tip: use a dampened cotton bud/swab to separate the leaf from the sheath. It slides out cleanly from the sheath and no pesky tweezer holes! I love your channels, thanks for sharing your lovely self with us! :)

That painted lady is beautiful! What do you do with your big plants? I have a philodendron Prince of Orange and Silver Sword. They are starting to get big and taking over precious space from my smaller plants. Can philodendrons grow well under grow lights? Can you recommend plants that do well under the lights? Thank you.

Thank you!! I also have a massive philodendron that is taking over my living room 😅 Philodendron do great under grow lights. I grow almost all of my plants with some supplemental lighting from grow lights. I haven't found one that doesn't like them yet!

I keep my Billie in a hanging net made of hemp twine (I made it myself! :), kinda like a macrame thing-- but I love it cos it can just grow however the f it wants without bugging anyone else lol in my old place it was hanging against a wall and now it'd hanging on a pillar. so yeah it looks great by itself

Hey fern! Do you mix anything else with your general hydro? And what order do you add it, if so?? And do you use gh with every watering? In all substrates?

I turn the water on so it's running into my watering can and while it's filling I add them in this order: flora micro, flora gro, and then flora bloom. Every few waterings I will also add CalMag as an extra supplement - I will add this one to the water first in that case. I usually fertilize every watering, unless I'm in a rush and just do plain tap water. Probably 3 out of 4 waterings I fertilize. And yep I use it in all substrates and it works well :) hope that helps!

i have question for everybody, my silver sword and atabapoense is not giving me aerial roots, why? atabapoense was even in terrarium conditions and now i transfered it outside to regular household conditions, it is still baby becouse right now its giving me his 4th leaf but its still strange to me, hope you could help :)

philodendron jungle boogie (also called Philodendron narrow) 🌿 or - a similar plant, but variegated, called philodendron ring of fire is popping up in plant shops now too! they are very easy to care for and beautiful :)

My best suggestion to you would be to familiarize yourself with the care needs of plants that you like just by seeing them. Then determine whether or not that is something you're willing to offer and able to provide given your space. If you know you love a certain plant but don't have the light for it, begin to study up on grow light options, etc. Start by studying the spaces in your house and how the light moves throughout your space. If there's a fancy plant you know you love, find a common variety of the same plant and practice caring for it to see if you're able to and even if you enjoy it! If it doesn't work out, then you've saved yourself from losing an expensive plant. And if it does, you've got the confidence in your care and knowledge to give you a head start ❤
