I'm glad you two are happy with your new bikes. They seem to be good climbers and pretty sure footed as well. Can't wait to see next week's edition of Friday Night Mountain Biking. 😂 Hopefully on some drier terrain and warmer weather. Keep rollin. 👊👍✌️

Looks like some awesome riding. I'll just sit here on the couch on a rainy day here and watch you guys ride in the bad weather. Nice signal peak builds. My boy loves his signal peak. Tell you the truth I love it too lol.

one of my memorable MTB moments on a ride above Breck in the summer.....a summer thunderstorm passed just in front of us on a trail high above Breck. We were in the sun...with the black thundercloud and lightning still close, but moving away....and suddenly the air was filled with snow

The new bikes seemed much quieter than the previous and looks like climbs well and descending is a piece of cake! Good luck!! Happy Easter!

I grew up going to Glorietta as a student and then as a youth pastor. I rode there, but didn't know of any single track, just went to ghost town a lot (saw a bear once). Rode my road bike up the Pecos River once on a barely there road. I haven't been in a decade or more, now I want to go! We have the mud and had the thundersnow in NE AZ.

The real trail development started around 2015, I believe. You should definitely try to make it back. It's a great place to ride! We host our annual patron camp there in September ;)

Nice bikes. I have the Delano and La Sal. Love them. Have a great race in Moab.

I have the La Sal and I'm grabbing other bikes bc it pedals so slow. I know the Assegai is slow rolling and it's a soft bike but I'm hoping to be able to speed it up.

Glad to hear you you like the the Signal peak. Still loving my 2021 Delano Peak. only complain is clearance for mud or rocks picked up by the tires. I too have had the mud push my chain off the front chain ring. Signal Peak is still a possible N+1 but it's tough to decide between it or a gravel bike. Need two dirt bike to pare with my 2 road bikes.

Are you using a new camera or audio filter? The sound is much better than normal. There’s not a lot of road or vibration noises. The video looks a bit sharper and stable too. Whatever you’re using; it’s working. I like it alottt!!!!

Besides the front brake, I only see two cables coming from the left side handlebar. I would really like to know what levers you are using for the dropper and lockout.
@sydandmacky7 ай бұрын
We use the Bontrager Droplock. Has levers for both the dropper and shock lockout (can also do fork simultaneously, but we don't use that)

@sydandmacky7 ай бұрын
We could make them lighter but it would involve sacrifices we don't want to make (less dropper, 32 instead of 34mm fork, no tire inserts, narrower rims). As is, they are about a quarter pound lighter than our previous builds, and pretty light for what is definitely a "downcountry" bike

That's fairly true for the southern part of the state. The northern part of the state is much more similar to Colorado.
