I wish they'd bring this back, what an absolute bombshell of a bike.

Hey! I did the exact same thing: 2019/2020 765rs to 2016 675r. And it was an amazing amazing choice, don't regret it one bit apart from the fact that now I need a cheap bike I can do long rides on. Because, there's just no way I can do long rides on this 😂

Love it! It was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make choosing between the Daytona and the Street Triple. (Both 2013/4). Went with practicality over what the heart wanted in the end, but man the Daytona looks incredible.

The stock exhaust is one of the best sounding ever used on a bike,,now it sounds like everyone else's p. O .s. going down road ,those mirror plugs are sweet,didn't take u long to destroy that

I love this bike. The stock mirrors are horrid but I love the way they look. I mainly bought mine because I wanted a bike and I love the looks of a sport bike. I drove the FH pass a month ago or so for the first time so I took it slow but I ended up turning around because the wind kept blowing me into oncoming traffic which was quite nerve wrecking.
@DarkRiderMotovlogs

Yeah unfortunately the wind can kind of suck when it starts blowing there. its generally quite sheltered but it seems that later in the day the wind is worse than the mornings.

I'm enjoying your videos, thanks for creating & sharing; the sound of your modified exhaust is brilliant! I'm currently shopping for a 675R (to supplement a much-loved '21 Triumph Speed Twin). Can you tell me how many miles yours had when you bought it, and how familiar were you with it's history? I've got my eye on the market, hoping to pull the trigger on a clean one this winter, wondering if you think I should be looking for one with less than 10k miles, avoiding obviously tracked bikes? Would you buy one without a test ride? I'm 6'3" and happy to see how you adjusted the bars for a flatter orientation, I'd likely do that as well.

Hi there! Thanks for the kind words. When I bought my bike it had 18k kms on it and was from an older gentleman that didn't ride it hard at all. It was very well looked after and fully stock. I'm 6'0 and found the bike fairly comfortable after flattening out the bars quite a bit. My legs did get a little cramped after a while but some rearsets would sort that out if needed. If you've ridden a sports bike before then you could probably get the Daytona without a test ride. It's a great and easy bike to ride and get used to very fast. Definitely avoid and track bikes if you can. Overall you'll love it and have a blast riding it and owning it.

Hi! I know this video was a year ago, but can you tell me how you mounted the bar end mirrors? Did you just clamp them onto the handlebars, or did they screw into the bar end? I'm trying to put some on my 675R, but the bar end hex bolt doesn't want to come out and I don't want to strip it. Do you recall?
@DarkRiderMotovlogs
@DarkRiderMotovlogs 8 ай бұрын
HI there! You need to peel the grip back slightly and the end where the grip ends. Youll see an indent on either side of the tube. Push those indents in and pull the bar end out. It also drove me crazy trying to get them out 😅

If you weren't going to do any track days, do you think you would have just kept the street triple? do you find the wind protection better on the daytona?
@DarkRiderMotovlogs
@DarkRiderMotovlogs Жыл бұрын
If I was only riding on the road I'd have 100% kept the street triple. Daytona is awesome, but can get tiring and cramped on the raod. Street Triple is a better road bike. Mirrors are cheap Chinese versions of the CRG Arrows.

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Thanks for the reply! I got myself a pair too. Where you able to just use the bar end adaptors that come with them? Mine are not fitting and are a bit too big even though there for the standard 7/8 inch bars.

Lekker bru, what time do you usually get out there in the mornings? Do you ride all the way from Cpt or are you already that side? How much does the track day cost you at Killarney?
@DarkRiderMotovlogs
@DarkRiderMotovlogs 2 жыл бұрын
yo! I stay out in Blouberg so its quite a ride to get there...now in Winter I aim to be there around 8:30 - 9am when the sun is high enough to start drying up the road, but in summer I am there around 7 - 7:30am. Track days are R650 and you need to book online. Theres a track day this weekend if you want to join or come and watch. events.scheduleme.co.za/wpmc/

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Oh shit, okay yeah that's quite the trip out. I stay in Parow so was checking out that trip to Rooiels myself. I'm definitely waiting on the summer to go to Killarney, would end up in the beginner class tho, don't have a suit yet. So you probably ride out of Blouberg around 7 if you wanna be there at 8/8:30? I definitely still want to ride that road, the one by Camps bay and Hout bay is extremely bumpy in some areas
