yeah its very common that CL starts the song since she is the leader and lead vocalist with Minzy as well, Dara always get pre chorus or post chorus and Bom is always on the chorus and sometimes on pre chorus since she is the main vocalist.

27:25 I know right! Bom is so adorable! And if you get to know her more, you will see she's also very funny and quirky. Being the oldest member, she is always the mood maker and always entertain the girls with her silly jokes. And we call TOP and Bom, the alien couple since they are so funny in weird way and share the same brain cell. CL is my bias and Bommie is my bias wrecker for sure!

It's always a nice surprise when you post a new reaction. Too many KZbin reactors get into the regular schedule thing, which almost always leads to burnout. And I don't think anyone wants that for you. So only do what is best for you. We have the easy part. We just watch and enjoy. On that note, so glad to see you circle back around to 2ne1. These ladies were the ultimate idols. Highly respected by other 2nd gen groups, and highly influential on the 3rd gen groups. CL is amazing. She was truly born to be a performer. She is a fine leader of the group, despite being 7 years younger than Bom and Dara. Minzy is the maknae. She was only 15 when they debuted and 22 when she left the group. Dara always seemed to be the fan favorite. Minzy getting the least fan attention. Minzy is my bias of the group. Something about her vocal tone and style captivates me. She's also the best dancer of the 4. I suggest checking out their debut, "Fire". There are 2 versions of the MV. I prefer the street version over the space version myself. You also might enjoy "Clap your hands". Plus so many more good songs I'm sure others will suggest. I look forward to when we see you again.

@@Syboutszen I often go with what I feel like the day of recording...I was going to do StrayKids because I have yet to hear their new song, but felt like 2NE1 was calling my name. 🤣 Minzy has a beautiful tone, you're right. I have a think for raspy voices, especially when it's unexpected and it's something they can do with little effort. I haven't heard her speak but I can imagine her voice being deeper. I'm all for suggestions and long time Blackjack know best so please go ahead and send me more suggestions on what songs I should check out and which live performances. Some might be blocked though. 😑

Their comeback concert is nearing. 😭 My personal fave is Dara cause aside from being an idol, that woman can do everything. Many people underestimate her by saying that she's just the visual but nahhh, that's just a PLUS. From being an actress, to being a talkshow host, to emcee-ing award events, to being a travel guide (speaking multiple languages), to being a vlogger, a fashionista, and etc... She's very kind and generous too, and is the 'glue' of 2NE1 itself. When 2NE1 disbanded, she still remained active in the industry and never forgot to remind people of 2NE1 every chance she get. She literally kept 2NE1's spirit alive, for the BJs and for the members itself. She is funny too, being called a human vitamin by the other members.

@@tdragonreactions Agree. It's kinda insulting to be called just that when she introduces herself as the 'fresh vocal' and not the visual everytime. She balances every song with her distinct voice too as the other three have very strong vocals. They will eat each other's voices up if Dara's voice is not in the middle, we don't want belting from start to finish. And I also love her rap flow too. I just hope many people appreciate that too. Yes, they sold out shows on Korea and Japan already and they just announced other countries. I hope they get to visit more countries.

1. I'm surprised that "I'm the Best" didn't make this video; it is 2NE1's most popular song (or at least it was their breakout song for people outside of Korea getting into K-pop). 2. I think "Lonely" was a big deal when it came out; my recollection is that a lot of contestants on K-Pop Star 2 covered it for the competition. 3. CL was hands-down the most popular in the group. She had the most solo releases, including a cover of "Lifted," originally by the Method Man (of the Wu Tang Clan rap group), who made an appearance in the video where he has a dance off with her. She also was the guest collaborator on Psy's "Daddy." I think Dara, as the visual, got the most CF deals, and Bom appeared the most on variety shows. In particular, I remember Bom on the show Roommates (where a bunch of celebrities from different fields lived together in a big house), until the drug scandal happened, and she disappeared from the show (she was accused of smuggling drugs into Korea because she brought in an amphetamine for which she had a valid U.S. prescription bust was illegal in Korea; it was either because of this or because of Papa YG's connections that resulted in no prosecution, although Bom did disappear from public view to "reflect"). Minzy, as the maknae, wasn't given many solo projects by YG (see also Seungri), and there was a rather bitter and public falling-out between her and the company; it seems that the rest of the group were still behind her because video clips of her were featured prominently in the music video for 2NE1's valedictory song, "Goodbye." 4. If you like 2NE1's 2nd Gen. girl crush vibe, you might also enjoy 4Minute (or, because of Cube's blatant favoritism, Hyuna and the others - kind of ironic now). I think their most popular song is "Crazy," but my favorite is "Volume Up." Thier final title song was "Hate," produced by Skrillex, which is great as well (I still think they left a lot of money on the table why they did not sell merch of the sweatshirts they were wearing in the video). However, they got popular in Korea from their earlier releases such as "Hot Issue." There are three songs with videos that stray from their usual style: "Heart to Heart" with a cutesy concept that was more common at the time, "Cold Rain," a ballad, and "24/7" from the subunit 2YOON (because it was a duo of Gayoon and Jiyoon) which takes its inspiration from American country music of all things.

I heard briefly about some scandal that Bom was involved in but didn't know any details about it. I kinda remember someone saying she suffered from mental illness and had to take medication that caused her to gain weight. Thanks for the background info! Although I don't typically talk about scandals, and like to still hear about it. 🍵👃. I'm interested in doing 2NE1 collabs or member collabs so I'll check out CL's too. I don't think I've heard of 4Minute but the name Hyuna sounds familiar though. 😊

@@tdragonreactions I'll 2nd the 4minute recommendation. All talented vocalists(not MMM level but), they all can sing and rap. Volume up definitely, Crazy, and Hate, along with HUH and Mirror Mirror. As far as 2ne1 individual collabs, in 2019 Bom released the song 4:44 featuring Wheein.

You can use her real name Min Ji. Or the nickname YGFamily call her by Ming-kki. Minzy had just come back from saying final farewells to her grandmother right before the I Love You live promotions and the media had her crying face all over because her grandmother was also a famous dancer. She almost didn't go because the group would be promoting, but the entire group sat out their first stage so that she could attend. There wouldn't be a least popular member in this group if Minzy intentionally wasn't being blocked and stunted by being underutilized within the company after they started growing internationally. All she has to do is be seen and heard and her popularity rises, but she'd always been blocked for an extended amount of time and steam dies down before she can comeback. Hopefully this tour changes things. She's too much of a powerhouse energy ball with a distinct performance style that's popular today for it to not be noticed. Literally each member of the group started off really popular with their own demographic. Three members grew in popularity with constant appearances and activities. One lost popularity that shot up in their final year and they placed on hiatus herself without reason. It was literally their peak..and she just turned 21..sad, but... they proved it wasn't just a persona. Each member is strong individually, but as a group. They're four solo artists who fit eachother like a puzzle. Minzy and CL were one of the top duos with only one song and what I love about the two on stage together is that they feed off of each others energy. Which helps build more confidence and energy within Dara & Bom What's a fun visual..? If it were an action movie..CL would be the partner who does all the talking and initial interactions, but is resevered in that she won't lift a finger if she does have to, but won't hesitate when she does. Minzy is the partner who more quiet, but watches everything and absolutely has no thoughts of hesitation when the restraints are cut loose. Whether that's physically done or reading someone to filth. Both calculative. Both deadly. If you don't underestimate one. You shouldn't underestimate the other either. People wouldn't admit it, it's not an insult..nor is it a lie. CL and Minzy are equals (I refuse to call them rivals) when it comes to performing. CL is a firecracker from the start and Minzy is a calm child with a 0-100 immediate charged up sugar high let loose on a playgroup. Minzy would be the only one who could keep up with CL with ease. CL would be the only one who could keep up with Minzy with ease. It's like they're on the same wave length and when Minzy drops the chains vocally or physically they're both giving their all and take it higher. Between the two the don't let you breathe or process the energy, but then you have Bom and Dara coming in as well. They hit you with the natural cuteness between CL and Minzy natural wildness. My favorite live duo is the MonsterMaknaes and it's exciting that they'll soon share the stage again without the weight of 2014 and people pitting them against one another for years. Their voices are similar..but when they go into their own styles Bom would favor Mariah Carey for sure Dara would favor Britney Spears.. CL... Minaj/Rihanna mix Minzy... Young Pop R&B Beyonce/Ciara mix Bias who you want to...for 2NE1 it's normal to give up on a bias at some point, many stan all four and have a new bias based on that particular video. Many have a bias and 3 bias wreckers or two bias and two bias wreckers. Or even rotate multiple times in a single video because so much goes on that they just sit quiet and gush over everyone as they appear. Ah..when the covered BBang. CL always got GDs parts and Minzy always got TOP/Taeyang depending on the song and how much they covered of it.

That is really unfortunate that she didn't get her fair share of time in the spotlight to really shine, but like you said, hopefully she'll get that opportunity again when they go on tour. I really feel like her devoted fans, like yourself, will show her so much love and support. I heard recently that she was really young when she debuted and I can only imagine how hard that was for her. LOL, I like your action movie comparison. I don't know them that well so I'll just have to wait and see how accurate you are! Although I don't doubt it.🤭
