Amazing stuff. She is almost like a big dinghy with that strange round bow giving buoyancy and presumably enabling her to plane really easily. You are going to have a lot of fun. And no heads to worry about...

I like the idea of sailing with someone who is in touch with the boat. Your learning curve is accelerated especially when soon you will be soloing in this ultra fast boat. 9 knot and at times 17 in a 20 knot wind sounds excellent.

Amazing Hugo!! Congrats. Sailing a mini scow is my dream. You have the feelings of a planing dinghy but you can cross the ocean with it. I really like the fact that you are an all-round sailor, and that your channel is about sailing in all its aspects (small boats, big boats, cruising, racing, maintenance, etc.). It would be great to see some tutorials about how to sail a Mini. Looking forward to more!!

Wow, that is one feisty little boat Hugo, and boy did it ever accelerate when you hoisted the spinnaker! I love it when a boat sings like that. I did a sailing course about 30 years ago on a Mull designed 45 footer and boy could that sing. I loved the feeling of power and the thrumming through the wheel! I also used to crew on a three masted sail training ship. Boy could that one sing!!

Check what won the minitransat... prototype. And Class40 Ian Lipinski Route du rhum. Also what Ian used to win the minitransat. Check also David Raison/Magnum. The Imoca Occitane would have the same hull if the gauge(?jauge, laws) allowed it (your hull must be sharp, like rockets, like boats, like knives). You can fly but not use a hull which goes above the wave instead of inside :)))
