Yesterday, I was very lucky to observe two bald eagles feasting on a deer carcass near the roadway in Mid Michigan. Once in a while I do see them flying or in the trees, but to see them up close was quite an experience. What a magnificent bird.

If you see that again and are strong enough please move the dead animal way off the road. Vehicle strikes are a major cause of death especially the Juveniles who are not as able to hunt well in their first year. Thank you for sharing how much you love the eagle.

@@kmsbanr The deer was in the field far from the road, but I was close enough to get a good look. The eagles were not in any danger. I pulled on to the shoulder and as I watched them, they watched me. They didn't seem to mind onlookers.

We LOVE bald eagles. Amazing how ignorant people were in the 1800’s … Bald Eagles are the best. Protect them! ❤️🦅🐦✨

Failed to mention the poisoning of eagles by lead eaten in carcasses. It is a serious issue.
