PLEASE answer a question for me. I own the 30 g,, you mentioned in this video , " " " Laser Line "... I can only get 3 DOTS, What good is 3 DOTS especially setting cabinets, or making inside corner story poles for siding ?? Does mine produce a SOLID GREEN LINE ? Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong with it.. I really need the solid line, not just a dot. Thank you my friend.. Hey James! The good news is that you're not doing anything wrong with the laser itself; the bad news, however, is that the GPL100-30G is unfortunately only going to be a dot laser. They provide better visibility in work spaces compared to line levels, though they do require a bit more measurement and marking than lines.

For future reference, bosch lasers use GPL for green point laser while their GLL line is green line laser. That'll help when purchasing what you need. I made the same mistake. That's why I'm here at thos video lol

These are not very good. I was expecting the line to extend across the walls. Instead it gives some small cross hairs that extend maybe 6 inches either side.

The video provided no useful information. Also, the point laser provides minimal value in the field. We will be returning the product because it is not useful in the field for our needs.

Dot lasers are actually incredibly useful! Especially for outdoor work, where line lasers may be a bit more difficult to see, dot lasers provide a plumb point to give you reference on projects like windows, doors, and decking! Line lasers, of course, have their uses and benefits as well, but dot lasers are still an excellent addition to a tool bag!

I just purchased this tool and I am so surprised this is not a laser level ! I doesn’t give you the lines to set tile for example ,one dot is good for nothing ,don’t understand the purpose of this tool at all ,such a waist of time and money !
