About why Chile: Argentina, Brazil and Chile was known the ABC Pact at the time. They were the more rich and powerful countries in South America and together were capable to exert some international pressure (like mediation between US and Mexico after the Tampico incident or the end of the Peruvian-Equatorian war). Before 1929's crisis, Argentina and Chile was practically developt countries (if you don't consider the absurd inequality) and Brazil was huge as always, with regions very rich. But after 1929, three countries started their decadency (with roots in unsolved problems from before, obviously).

Brazil, Argentica and Chile were the 3 most economically and military powerful nations by the end of the XIX and first half of the XX century, they were the only one with "for the time" half decent militaries too.

The next dlc is going to be a major expansion and will be coming out later in the year. I’m thinking maybe a German overhaul? Like that focus is pretty outdated now and the alt paths are pretty boring. Be good to expand on the civil war and have a communist path as well. I think Austria, Belgium, and maybe Luxembourg will get focuses with that german focused expansion as well. But yeah definitely the Middle East needs a small content pack I think that’ll come out next year.

The new tags can mean, for Brazil in particular, that the current Acre was a "colony" (Federal Territory) of Brazil, and not a true state at that time... In the current map is just a part of the country instead of a territory controlled by the country... The states are also completely wrong (except, for some reason, Iguaçu from that time, that disappeared in 46), but even it appears in 36 in Hoi4, while it was created in 42... My own state (Pará) isn't in the game currently...
